best necromancer story

I have been looking for a good necromancer story that actually used a really good magic system and how the world really reacts to magic.

Really solid

Definitely will be looking for the next book in the series.
Not the best I have ever read but real solid.

As a long-time D&D player, I felt right at home while listening to this novel. We, as players, recently realized that not all bugbears and goblins are evil. The author challenges the notion that all Necromancers are evil. I very much enjoyed the party dynamics in this book and the nuance to the magic as the MC learns the ropes. I highly recommend this book.

Great party adventure!

An addicting party adventure that was easy to be drawn into. The struggle of being a ‘good’ necromancer was fun to follow along with. The side characters all had their own personalities, and the dialog was well done. Looking forward to the next book!

Good campy fun

Not overly gory, funny and fun, with a few surprises. Just an adventure with an unexpected protagonist.

Humorous & Heartwarming

I really enjoyed this story. The humor was great, the commentary was insightful, and the ending was satisfying.

Overall a decent book

I enjoyed the story but the character development was lack luster. The voices made the book seem like it was being read at me rather than it being an immersive experience but I look forward to what the team will face next!

Finally, some decent fantasy

Looking for good old fantasy where the author bothered to make a believable world rather than justifying everything with some game system mechanics? You have come to the right book, lovable characters, some funny moments, a hero who wasn't too self deprecating with excessive levels of self doubt and so much more. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to more books from this author.
