About this listen

The battle against magic is easily won, but not even magic can truly control love....

To Kord, witches are a necessary evil. They cast charms for good weather and crops, but otherwise they're best avoided. But when Kord succumbs to a love spell and starts yearning for a woman he's never met, he refuses to let magic control his destiny. He tracks down the witch responsible - only to discover she is the irresistible woman of his dreams.

Like her mother and grandmother before her, Charmaine casts charms for a living. As a witch, she spends her life helping others, not being helped. So when her spells begin misfiring, she has nowhere to turn. Until a handsome farmer arrives demanding she break a love spell, and Charmaine realizes he holds the key to her misspells. But what if solving his problem comes at the cost of her heart's desire?

A fun little paranormal romance story

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a romance driven story with a decent paranormal element that kept my interest throughout this short little story. I thought the narrator did a good job as well. All in all, a cute little paranormal romance story.

Fun Romantic Comedy

The Misspelled Charm was a fun short story. While listening, I could not help but think of it in modern day and as a Romantic Comedy. I think the story just lends itself to that Genre. I could picture the scenes in my head while listening and imagine the wacky things that could go wrong to drive the wedge further between the two main characters. The Cat, Justin, would be of great use in these moments. If you enjoy short romantic fiction with a some comedy thrown in, I would highly recommend this book.

The narration was well, for the most part. There were a few sections, when there were a lot of different characters speaking, that I had a little trouble telling who was talking. Beyond this, Shannon Condon did a great job.

I requested a free review copy of this audiobook and I am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Cute witchy romance

This wasn’t at all what I expected, but I still enjoyed it. It’s a cute spellbound witchy romance. The narration was good, too. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

The Misspelled Charm

This is a cute, short paranormal romance.

When an unwanted love spell goes awry, Kord wants his freedom back and will do whatever it takes to have the spell removed. Sometimes it’s an unexpected nudge that is exactly what is needed to find what you really want and need.

Short and sweet

This s a very short story but it gets its point across without the feel of being rushed. In the story Charmaine is a witch. She creates and sells her spells to the towns people. Her beloved Grandmother taught her everything she knows. Since her Grandmothers passing Charmaine's spells have been going wrong.

Kord believes that witch's are necessary. They cast spells to help with crops and other essential things, but other then that he doesn't choose to deal with them. Until one day he falls under a witch's love spell. He was set to marry a woman when he starts dreaming of another. He goes to find the woman he dreams of and ask her or demand her to break the spell.

When Kord arrives at Charmaine's house, she tries to break the spell, not knowing she is the woman in his dreams.

Shannon Condon does a very good job with the narration. She kept me involved in the story and does a great job with the voices.

I want more ...

Too short! This really is a good story, but I think it would be great if Shereen Vedam decided to flesh it out. In fact, I can see the possibility of a series related to the ideas of a “Charmer” witch. They could be love stories, but they could be more as well. There is enough information in this tale to further build Charmaine ‘s world of magic.

In this story, a love charm seemed to go awry. The man, Kord, who received it was strong and fought against the magic. He knew it was a love spell, but he wanted to make his own choice about whom he would give his affections. He sought out the spell caster and it brought him to Ponce. Charmaine was the only “Charmist” left as her grandmother had passed away. Join the pair as they work at breaking the charm. It is very difficult to do regardless of circumstance. However, the lady who is the focus of the spell, made this almost impossible.

Shannon Condon does a great job narrating the story. The voices she gave the characters really brought them to life. I was given this audiobook, at my request, in exchange for an honest review.
