Publisher's summary

We fell in love in a lightning strike.

He knew right away, yet I was hesitant.

I could have never prepared myself for a love like ours. No one could.

As a child, I had conjured an amazing story in my mind. It was a story I could retell about a man who would move me like no other, a story about the way we met and how he had swept me off my feet. But the ending to that fairytale was so far from the reality.

No one will want to hear that story now, but for Grant, I will always tell it.

Narrated in duet style.

Not worth the money I paid

This story does not compare to Exodus, in my humble opinion. It is not nearly as developed, emotional, or gripping as previous books by KS. I listen to Drive/Reverse/BSM and "The Ravenhood" series, once a month. I do not know that I'll be finishing this series.
The narrators were good. Overall struggled to give 4⭐️

When will I learn?

A beautiful love story, utter devastation. I went in blind but I’ve read enough of Kate Stewart’s work to know that the harder I fall for an MMC the harder I’ll cry. While Exodus and OLRD will have me in a permanent chokehold, I can move on from this story with bittersweet memories.

Why Kate, why!?

my heart will never recover. this book ruined my day. it's an amazing story but wtf. I now understand why it's only 4 hours long. listen with caution. if you had a hard time with Exodus, this is almost worse. if you know, you know.

Ugh…

I loved this story so much more than the first story in this series. Grant and Roses brief love story was so swoon worthy and devastating. I love me and HEA but this isn’t one and I may be a little sick for loving a good romantic tragedy too. The performance by Samantha and Aaron was beautifully done and both fit the characters so well. Can’t wait to hear about Jax…..I’m ready to find Roses HEA.
