The possibilities set up by the ending…
Patiently plotted. For those looking for a new Expanse, you may be disappointed at first. This is quite distinct, feeling more remote to our experience than the Expanse did. The writing style feels familiar. The characters are less memorable to me than those of the Expanse, but that may change as the story progresses. The ending was satisfying, though begging for additional entries in the series. The story has a lot of potential. I’m excited to see where the authors decide to take it, as the possibilities seem endless.

James SA Corey is BACK!!
Loved the story, got to know/understand and love the Characters, its not the Expance but so nice having the authors back at what they do best, well written and great narration!!

A slow burner
After writing such a successful action packed series like The Expanse it was at first off putting to listen to a story that moves so slowly. It’s definitely a departure from their previous work but that’s not at all a bad thing. I’m looking forward to seeing how the next book will be.

An introduction to a new galaxy
The story is enought to get invested into, but is mostly a small narrative in a big universe, Which primarily introduces the main players in the galax. The main characters story clearly is going places it's just not as interesting as the big picture villains and maybe heros.

Here for another great series
Found it a slowish start but after disaster it picks up. A huge stage set and populated, with a complex central character. I wonder though if we will find any aliens to connect with?

Absolutely killer start to a new adventure!
The characters, premise, pace and voice made this an an absolutely enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down and the book flew by. I love Jefferson Mays’ narration and can’t wait for the next book!

James Corey is just freaking talented of a writer and his books including this are like none other. Jefferson Mays is solid gold in terms of narration and he deserves equal credit for the success and enjoyment of Corey's work
