Acerca de esta escucha

New York Times bestseller John Scalzi flies you to the moon with his most fantastic tale to date: When the Moon Hits Your Eye

The moon has turned into cheese.

Now humanity has to deal with it.

For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Astronauts and billionaires, comedians and bank executives, professors and presidents, teenagers and terminal patients at the end of their lives -- over the length of an entire lunar cycle, each get their moment in the moonlight. To panic, to plan, to wonder and to pray, to laugh and to grieve. All in a kaleidoscopic novel that goes all the places you’d expect, and then to so many places you wouldn’t.

It’s a wild moonage daydream. Ride this rocket.

Editorial Review

Listen to the moon and back
Between conference calls and car-pool pickups, my days are more chaotic than ever—and there is absolutely nothing that allows me to escape my daily life as entertainingly as a new John Scalzi audiobook. The thoughtful blend of humor and heart had me laughing out loud and smiling from ear to ear, from start to finish. The unique combination of Scalzi’s brilliant and witty storytelling and Wil Wheaton’s incredible narration is science fiction at its finest. Whether you’ve ever wondered how you’d react if the moon turned into cheese or not, this production will entertain, delight and inspire you. —Esther B., Audible Editor

It's not bad, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would, and I regret spending a credit on it instead of something more enjoyable. I'm typically a fan of Scalzi's work, but this one seemed to drag. I kept waiting for it to get really good, and it never did. And while I also typically enjoy Wil Wheaton narrating Scalzi's books, it didn't work for this book. The whole thing just feels off. I wish I liked it more, and I'm really sad that I don't.

Buyer's Remorse

I don't know what's happened. Scalzi has evolved in his writing in a why I just don't really enjoy anymore? will Wright's narration is now almost childish and hammed to the point of being kind of annoying. I guess this genre just isn't for me as anymore.

The Moon is now cheese?

There isn’t much of an overarching plot. Reads more like a collection of short stories. Some of the stories are great. Will’s performance was excellent.

Different

Only John Scalzi can take such a far-fetched premise as the Moon turning to cheese, and actually make it fun, funny, believable and still deliver a timely message. As always, much to fast a read, but that's how he keeps us wanting more. Bravo John!

Another Extraordinarily Fun read from Scalzi

I really enjoyed it. Its not my favorite book he has ever done. But i will definitely listen to a few more times. It would have been 5 stars except for the ending. I will not give anything away.

I look forward to every new Scalzi book, and this one did not disappoint! Laughs, crazy situations, and wacky reactions abound!. I loved his "every man trilogy" - thank you, John Scalzi

Another great collection of people dealing with a world that does not always make sense. Hopeful, empathetic, hilarious.

People interacting with each other with compassion.

So much fun, the different points of view on different days was such a great method that got me out of my reading slump. Thank you sir for continuing to put out these great books

Another fantastic read

Big scalzi fan, but this could be a lot better. First scalzi book I haven't liked. The moon turned to cheese and never a reason why.

Disappointing
