The secrets of New Orleans' underworld are about to be revealed...
For years, a sadistic murderer has used the revelry of Mardi Gras to hide in plain sight, claiming vulnerable victims in the streets of New Orleans' French Quarter. Dubbed the "Mardi Gras Murderer" by the media, this shadowy figure has long eluded capture, taunting the FBI with each crime.
Special Agent Briana Song is new to tracking the killer. But her partner, James Buckley, has been haunted by this case for years - this monster is the one who got away. When the murders start again, Briana and Buck resolve to finally end the killer's gruesome game.
But this year, the stakes are higher. The killer sets his sights on Briana, dragging her into a twisted cat-and-mouse chase through the city of masked crowds. As the murder count rises and the celebrations climax, Briana must outwit her pursuer while unraveling the clues to his true identity.
With time running out as Mardi Gras draws to a close, Briana and Buck enter a final showdown with the madman who has terrorized New Orleans. But catching a serial killer is dangerous work, and Briana might discover some monsters don't like being hunted...
