Complexities of friendship over time makes for a great listen
I really liked the idea of the book and took a chance on it before others reviews could sway my opinion. So glad I did. The author is an excellent writer and the characters really came alive. I could see this as a movie or limited series as I found myself wanting more of each character. Also the narration was perfect.

Nicola’s performance is an award winning one
The story took us to places I didn’t expect in the beginning. Kudos for choosing Nicola for this audiobook. A lesser actress wouldn’t be able to go to the places she went with this. I felt every frustration and disappointment. I need a movie and a second book.

Underwhelmed
I was so looking forward to this book. However, I could not get excited about the main characters. I wished the many subplot were developed - the friends, both of their families and even his dog. These characters were fleeting. Sorry, I wanted more. As an alternative I recommend Fall Risk. That was an emotional roller-coaster. A great read/listen.
