Rookward House may be hours away from its nearest neighbor, but he can't escape the feeling that he's being watched. Great!!
This is my kind of book! Ghost, haunted house, no explicit unnecessary sex or gore, and a great narrator…perfect way to escape the real world for a bit!!

Psychological manipulation
I always enjoy the author's creativity and how she always steers the story into an unexpected turn. Darcy has been one of the only author's that has given me shivers based off of a creepy detail or image that she created. I'm aiming towards collecting all of her books because she is one of my favorite horror writer's.

Basic Haunted House Genre Fiction
I read this for a book club- I found the whole novel superficial. There is no character development for Guy and being stuck with that character was boring. I wish there was more backstory with the haunted house.
