couldn't put it down

I saw in other reviews how the lead woman got on some nerves, but once you remember how young, spoiled in a good way by her family ,I loved it, I didn't want it to end..

The Handfasting

Book is good. The heroine is a bit immature and can't seem to make up her mind and got a bit irritating. However, the rest of it was good and interesting.

Narrator is ok I had to speed it up to 1.7 it was just too slow to me.

Good story but narrator is a bit overly dramatic

The story is well enough, but the narrator is a bit shouts at inappropriate times (especially when doing the female protagonist’s voice). Also, the accent is more Irish than Scottish, which is somewhat distracting.

only book so far I have found from this author. I hope she has more coming. Love the highland romance genre. this was a great Love story and great narrator.

Loved this book!

WOW, what a wonderful story. I loved it! Maggie was a strong willed women and a great match to a strong Laird. It was filled with adventure, betrayal and love!! I could not stop listening to this one. It was well written and the narration was well done.

Okay Highland story.. heroine a bit annoying

First off the narrator does a good job I am just not a big fan of male narrators for some reason.

The problem I have with this book is that I never was completely sold on the characters. I didn't necessarily feel that they were falling in love or feeling attraction really. The author wrote it but her writing didn't make me feel it. That doesn't mean that I disliked the book it was good it was fine it just didn't invoke any major feelings within me. It was one of those that I did not have a problem taking the ear buds out and waiting until morning to listen to more of it.

It's hard to like the heroine because she's stupid and unrealistic about a lot of things. I don't condone senseless violence but we're talking about the 1700's and there's a rebellion going on. This guy IS fighting for his country and honor and revenge! It just it makes no sense for her to be like "no you can't harm anybody" and all this ....it just gets annoying.

I'm not going to immediately read the rest of the books in the series. Even though I want to find out some of the other stories this book series just may not be at the very top of my list it may be something I have to revisit when I don't have quite as many really good books waiting for me to listen to.

Best romance I've read in awhile

I loved the characters. The story was different, and the love scenes steamy without being nasty. Great narrator. Would recommend.

deceptive business plan

as to why they call this book three independent books I don't know actually one story divided up into three units which to me is very deceptive cuz if you were to buy the book you would have to buy all three paying what $12 each which to me is very deceptive but no it's one book it's fairly decent I thought Mary Sarah was the person that was reading the story but it isn't it was somebody else and it wasn't bad but I would have preferred to marry Sarah been reading it

Wonderful highland romance

Any additional comments?

Strong men and women. Conflict between clans and within families. A romance that was meant to be but has so many obstacles. Unpredictable, sensual, dark villains, spies and betrayal. Great story and the narrator did it justice. You can get lost in this one.
