Another winning Joy Ellis novel

Another hard to put down story. Not too happy with the ending but that's because the danger is still lurking. I'm not fond of cliffhangers.

One of her best

I’m listening to this series in order so this is the 4th I’ve listened to. I was concerned as The Fourth Friend was a big departure from the preceding books and not my favorite. I’m pleased to say I enjoyed The Guilty Ones very much. Yes, it can be a little dramatic as other reviewers have said but I’m used to the tone of the author at this point and enjoyed the story. The characters are well fleshed out and who isn’t in love with Richard Armitage? Good all around!

No real ending

Dislike books that bleed into another book for closure. That is what this book does. The villan lives on to another book

Getting a Jackman and Evans book is a no brainer..

Buying a D.I. Jackman mystery by Joy Ellis is a no-brainer for me... and seriously, who wouldn't want to spend some quality time with Richard Armitage as the narrator?!?!
This time, the case is personal... D.I. Jackman's sister-in-law disappears, and later, her body shows up as what appears to be an obvious suicide, but both Jackman and his D.S. Evans, feel that things are rather "hinky." So he and his team methodically start their investigation... This is a tightly-paced police procedural, and once again, Joy Ellis writes a story that will keep you spellbound!

Ellis and Armitage, a perfect pair

The twists and turns are amazing. Ellis is a plot master.
Armitage keeps characters vibrant and believable.
This is #4 for me with the duo. Waiting for more.

The best crime drama series ever!!!

Joy Ellis keeps me up at night because I can't stop listening to these amazing stories of hers...they just keep getting better and better. Also, Richard Armitage is hands down the best narrator, so I'm getting very little sleep these days.

Suspenseful, good character development, well read! I look forward to another one! Bounces around but in a good way

This one takes a different path and allows us to look more into the characters of the story, we become part of their team. I really enjoyed it.
