Thank you for baring your soul. I feel better.

Kristen bares it all. I truly enjoyed her life story (thus far). a couple of tweeks and i could make it mine. ;) I would love for her to help provide her thoughts on tools to manage organization, scheduling, etc.

A must read for anyone struggling with an ADHD diagnosis

If you have a personal diagnosis, are a parent of a child with ADHD or have a partner with ADHD- you will feel so much relief after reading this book! It helped me understand why things were more difficult in school, how other people may interpret responses and impulsivity and why this should be approached as a disease. I was moved to tears and the author did an excellent job narrating her story. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!

Very helpful and inspirational!

Kristin Seymour is not only courageous in sharing the story of her own struggles with ADHD, she also provides guidance and hope for those helping others with this condition. Reading the book felt as though I was reading the story of my own experiences helping those around me with ADHD. Her story reminds us that these struggles are real and that there are methods to help those with ADHD. This book is a terrific resource for children (teens) and adults dealing with ADHD as well as parents (or others) helping them along their way. Kristin’s personal achievements in dealing with ADHD give others the inspiration to know that they can also overcome the challenges it presents and find success in every aspect of life.

I can completely relate to this situation.

I can completely relate to this situation. I have been suffering from ADHD for many years, and I recently asked to be put on meds. The fog has lifted, or going from standard definition to HD is accurate. Thank you for your sharing.

Not helpful for techniques for ADHD

This was an autobiographical account of how the author had super supportive parents and employers so she was able to cope. I could not find any technical information to help the reader with ADHD. I thought the description said that she was able to cope with ADHD without medication. But I couldn’t find any information in the book that was helpful.

How the 10% live

The author could not be more wrong in her flippant belief that anything remotely like the services that were effortful even for a family with the kind of wealth and privilege of her own are accessible at all schools.
The quantity and quality of services available at most schools, let alone at those where the needs are greatest, are paltry at best.
Even where school services even worth obtaining are available, a paid lawyer or advocate is the only way to access them.
Most damaging of all is the justification for that denial.
The judgement, blame and marginalization for their behavior and shortcomings are far more harmful to such kids and their families. It is truly heartbreaking.
This book is for the author and to her family, friends and peers.
