So many twists!!

Why did I hold this duet on my wish list so long?! This story was so heartbreaking and tragic yet beautiful and humorous and sweet. I’m definitely listening to more of Aly’s books!

These performances by Andi Arndt and Christian Fox are new favorites! Both were incredibly adorable portraying Rosalie and each were brilliant at bringing out the highs and lows of the main characters’ struggles with their shared trauma and fraught relationship through Rosalie and their feelings for each other. Andi & Christian were perfect!

Wow this was so good! I devoured this story and loved every second. The narrators did amazing in this audio and I highly recommend the duet audio.

I wish I could read and listen to this series for the first time again.
It was soo good. I love Christian Fox and Andy Arndt separately but probably even more together.

Very good story with twist and turns.

Emotional Roller Coaster ...

I got to admit this my first real review of a book. But this one really deserves 5 🌟 This was an emotional roller coaster. Both narrators were awesome...however I will never look up or Google what Christian Fox looks like.. my mind would not be able to take it..But I will listen to him read the phone book or count to 1000..lol

Absolutely amazing!

This is definitely one of the best books I've ever listened to. It was an emotional suspense with so many surprises, it was hard to put it down.

Absolutely fantastic book! This is my first time reading a book from this author and I LOVE IT! One quote in particular stuck out to me so much I printed it out and put it on my wall!

“You aren’t given 100 years at once. Time is doled out one very manageable second at a time. Stop looking at the big picture and find happiness in the seconds.”

I 100% recommend this book. Of course check the TW’s because there are definitely some heavy subjects but the balance between heartbreak, tragedy, humor, banter, and healing love was PERFECT.

And the narration was perfect as well! The only regret I have is that I read it so quickly. Talk about a major book hangover!

This is the first set of books. I’ve listened to by Ali Martinez. I’m excited to listen to more now.

Ali martinez never ceases to amaze! Her books have amazing trials with love-and angst-and trauma. Keeps you locked in with wanting it to ever end! The narrator’s are amazing 2 of my favorite!

OH MY GOODNESS!!

Book 1: This book was filled with all sorts of secrets and twists that I was absolutely not expecting! Both of our main characters went through tragedies in their youth that shaped the people they are today.

Caven is doing everything that he possibly can to take care of his daughter that was dropped off on his doorstep one day. Four years later, her mother shows up and wants to see her. After no contact all those years.

The three of them really going through all the emotions (even if they are unbeknownst to Rosalie, the daughter.

I was absolutely not expecting the twist at the end of this!!

Book 2: Aly Martinez has a way of writing that immediately sucks you in and doesn't let you take a break because you need to know how this book ends.

I don't think I put this book down once I started listening because I was so enthralled. This is the second book in the duet, so I can't say much without spoiling the first book.

I will say - after that cliffhanger in the first book, you are left with so many questions. Thankfully Aly doesn't make us wait too long for most of the answers! However, there are so many twists and turns that I would have never expected!

Go into this book blind and don't read spoilers for the best reading experience!
