Oh I loved this story and narration was perfect!

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This was a wonderful book by ALY Martinez- the story was compelling, lots of angsts and you really could feel the love between the H/h, and wanted to see them reunite after tragic events tore them apart! Excellent casting of Jason Clarke Andi Arndt for narrating this unforgettable love story. I loved it. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really have to sit and think about this one. There was a lot of emotions and a lot of heavy topics here.
The flashback scenes to their childhood were sweet and there was a lot of attention there to build that solid foundation of their relationship. I think this was important, as Ramsey was only 17 when he went to prison, there wasn't a lot of time to build it.
On the night they lost their virginity, Thea was then raped by someone she knew. Ramsey made a plea deal at 12 years later was out on parole.
Now a man, who grew up locked up in prison, Ramsey must learn to adjust to the world, to his feelings. His sister Nora and Thea have become sisters in the 12 years he was away, and they want their family back.
There was a LOT - and I mean a LOT of sad times in this book. The narration of Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke did a fantastic job. It was heavy and at times a hard listen.
With two hours left, the tide turns on this story. There are 'things' that happen. That's all I will say. Your outlook on much of the story changes somewhat.
It was a good story, but definitely you need to be in the mindset for it.

I am so glad to have found author, I enjoyed this combination of friends to lovers and childhood sweethearts. This story griped at all the string for the tragedy that separated this couple and the needed redemption of what I would say a secondary character was a must.

I'd say it was tearjerker all thru out but the HEA made it worth without spoling the story it all started with a major plot twist and a confirmation of the Huge heart the Hero has.

There were times when the story was really cute and other times really emotional. It was a good book and It made me want to read more from this author

Loved it Although!

loved the story so much, beautiful! amazingly narrarated! just loved it all! their love for each other. my only issue was with Thea! she was very selfish at times! she had a hard time seeing things from anyone else's side. the whole whoa is me was getting on my nerves. But when she calmed down it was much better!

Narration easily five starz, Overall five starz, and story alone I gave four starz & here’s why....
It could’ve been longer!
While this book covers a long span of time, I’m on the fence If I feel cheated, lol. Sometimes books can stretch too far and you get lost in a bad way. However, I would’ve enjoyed details and situational moments with our two main characters!
We get too know them both from age 10 up and the epilogue is great, but I wanted to have a deeper peak into their pasts, i believe in this book it would’ve made this listen 5 starz!
Because of the twists and turns, the story is the emotional yo-yo but not so much I had walk away for little bit

Beautiful second chance romance!!

Yeah, so this book hit me kind of hard. I was NOT expecting the history between Ramsay and Thea and the tragedy that they would endure.
Aly Martinez brings a beautiful story that starts by alternating between present and past through both the hero and heroines points of view.
We get to see how these two children intertwine their lives and become best friends. Both from homes with loss, Thea and Ramsay find peace in one another and blossom their connection into something that turns into so much more. But one decision can alternate the path of the rest of your life and Ramsay and Thea learn this the worst way possible.

After being separated for almost 13 years, Ramsay is released from prison and Thea is waiting like she promised she would. But when a boy enters into a world of darkness and a man emerges, will that change the future these two had always planned??

This was a heartbreaking story with so many glimmers of beauty and happiness. Aly Martinez is truly gifted with telling a story that has all the traits to hook you. There are just enough secrets and unknowns to leave you guessing and then she hits you with the unexpected!
I laughed out loud more than once; I got tears in my eyes and my stomach dropped; I felt warmth in my belly and had a smile on my face all while reading this book!

Jason Clarke & Andi Arndt did an amazing job telling Ramsay & Theas story. The emotion and angst; I could vividly picture every detail!!!
Fantastic Listen!!
