About this listen

The Tournament Approaches!

The grand tournament is drawing near. A place where every major faction in the Settled Territories sends their greatest members to compete in various fields. As people from all over the world head to the Tournament Territory, others make moves in the shadows. Everyone has their own agenda, and everyone is looking to gain advantage and power.

For Ryun and Zach, the tournament is the place where they can test themselves against the best the Infinite Realm has to offer. To find their place in this new world.

New faces and new threats arise as everyone converges to the same territory, and the entire world is watching.

But the Infinite Realm is a cruel place, and sometimes, people forget that the beings that created it have their own agenda.

GREAT but a few things I personally had a problem with.

1. I don’t need to hear every character’s full stat sheet with titles every time they get a new power.
2.(spoiler) the way Ryun “shared” his inspiration with anrush makes 0 sense. The fact that you can “share” inspiration and elevate someone to your same tier is completely ridiculous. Maybe if the author put more limits on it or made it so they went one tier under I would still consider it stupid but tolerable. As it stands I’m doing everything in my power to erase my memory of that idiocy.
3. The fact that anyone can just walk up to a dome and open it “early” is pretty dumb.
4. The narrator is great with narrative but awful with character voices. Particularly female characters. I feel bad saying this because I completely understand that when you have a deeper voice it makes it more difficult to go high. That being said his female is terrible.
5. The whole Selia ark comes from left field.
Overall this book was good. A bit too much going on to be honest but it’s made tolerable by a creative world and the potential this story has. I’d like to see a bit more structure to the power system and have the author go over the character sheets less.

infinite realm expands even more!

I'm on my 2nd listen now, the introduction of new pov characters is well done and does a great job of expanding our understanding of the realm. our main boys develop more, especially Zach, who is still outshined by Ryun but has really come into himself this volume.
The stat sheets take FOREVER, and for our main pov characters the constant reiteration gets to be a bit much, but they're a good way to see the heights of power and the different ways power gets expressed in the realm
kudos to I. Kal for getting into so many different minds and personalities without feeling contrived
Can't wait for book 4

The fan base is so Jacob and Edward lol

Five stars simply because I enjoy helping the author in any small way I can. The reviews that simply say fantastic. amazing! Those are pointless. Let's simply talk about the quality of the writing. It is good. The reason why it's not great for this platform is because statistics that take half a chapter are awful. It annoys The Listener and it makes the voice actor look bad. Which he isn't, he in fact, is quite nice to listen to. Let's move on to the plot point of the story. It is interesting and unique. Plenty of variety and room for creativity. Now where I believe The author fails is his characters specifically the main characters. The progression and power scaling between the two has a lot of plot armor. We wish for entertainment and we don't need the morality lessons. Not to mention the whole soft core whatever he randomly decided to do for this book of the series. It was very abrupt and awkwardly done. I think the author was maybe trying to add one too many genres to the story And The work suffered for it. I would rate this B tier work. Worth the money, worth the read.

Not bad

I didn’t get what I wanted. Balance still slow moving between the two MCs but I’m fully vested and have already bought the next two books

This was excellent!!!

This 3rd book filled in so much and evolved so many characters I do not know where to start!!! Even though it's the third book but not completed, I a completely satisfied with the story arc. The characters change little by little and have major growth. I can not wait for the next one!!!!

Best litRPG

This story is so good I can hardly believe it. And the narrator sounds like it’s grandpa reading to you, I love it. Great job to both author and narrator. You guys are my heroes. I can’t believe I have to wait for the next one now. What am I going to do? Hurry and release the next one!

WTF is with all the hits in the shoulder?

seriously like 90% of the times somebody gets hit or damaged it's in their shoulder there are a couple headshots a couple arms blown off likes it but the rest of the time somebody gets hit in the shoulder I don't know why this bothers me so much but it really does. other than that this is a great book. side note the descriptions of powers lasting like 15 minutes of audible time are a little extreme
