About this listen

Queen Rolfe betrayed me.

My own mother.

The Teeth have my wife, and I can't allow myself to think about what they're doing to her. I need to raise an army to get her back, and if I can't, I'll march in there and do it myself.

sex scenes suck but great story

Add in the first book the sex scenes aren't good but the stories are and I will read the third.

Good Story; Poor Female Narration!

Voice over and Narration is truly a gift and the female Narrator was almost distractingly bad. Things like dramatic, drawn out words are not necessary to a good story.

The book is good, but...

I can't stand when an author leaves the story hanging until the next book comes out. I know why they do it, but I try really hard to avoid those books.

This book had potential

Just like the first book of the series, this book had so much potential but it fell short. The absolute worse thing going on with this book is the female narrator. She has a loud sharp lisp that I could not ignore. I am not sure if it’s because I’m from the south but sexualizing pet names such as “baby” and “sweetheart” is cringy and just not creative. I felt like the author was reaching pretty far into the Game of Thrones world to try and drive the story along, because they started to parallel the further the story developed. It also relied heavily on the sex scenes to keep you interested but even that didn’t do it for me. Overall this book had a big opportunity and a lot potential to be good, and I wanted it too be soooooo bad, but unfortunately it was lacking and fell short of expectations.

need to return, unable to do so

this series has to much blatant sex for my taste preferences. I had forgotten from the first in the series.

Good story, too many sex scenes

I liked the story. The narrators were fantastic. The reason I gave 3 stars was because of the sex scenes. I got to the point where I was just fast forwarding through them. I felt like the author was trying to fill pages. I get it, the dude has a big ****, he was the best she ever had , he rock her socks off I don’t need to read that over 17 times…But with that being said, I’m still going to get the third book

The heroine drove me nuts

Ivory drive me insane. Her righteousness was too much. The way she was adamant her father not be killed knowing what a horrible disgusting person he was. She thought he could just live in a little house and they could still be a family, even though he treated her like absolute crap. They had one conversation together in the first book and he was awful to her. I do not understand her loyalty to him. She should hate him just as much as everyone else. It just didn’t make sense to me and instead I would have to put the book down when she would start going off on how no one could kill him.

I also thought the whole thing about having to go to the library to figure out how to fix the dragon was a complete waste of time. She didn’t find any way to heal the dragon. She just read a line in a book that it should be possible. If she wasn’t going too find an actual detailed way, she should’ve just tried to do her thing when she was all the way at the dragons in the first book. It just seemed like a pointless plot that needed more to it than there was.
