I loved this book!!!

This book was amazing! I’m so excited to listen to the next book. Penelope Barsetti created such an interesting world. I loved that it had medieval and paranormal vibes while having a modern vocabulary. I loved the characters even if you loved to hate them I also loved some of the character’s evolution. The only slightly negative comment I have is that the male narrator could’ve done better.

This book was an unexpected surprise. I expected this book to be more sci-fi than romance. The romance was more erotic though but it was really good. I enjoyed all of it, even though it ended on a cliff hanger it still made sense and you got a good healthy book as well. Thankfully book 2 and 3 are already written and waiting for me to read so I am off to book 2.
The narrators were both really good and their voices fit the description of both characters.

This is one hell of a story!!! I have always enjoyed Penelope's dark romance but I have to say that this Genre has taken her writing to a new realm!!! Her skills have created characters, and worlds at another level in her Extraordinary mind.

Great story

I listened to it in 1 day. I wish book 2 was available in audible.

Meh

I didn’t really care about the characters. I don’t plan on continuing the series. I’m surprised I even finished this book.

Interesting Story

Fast paced story that kept my attention from start to finish! I can’t believe it ended on that cliff hanger!! On to the next book.

One star off for the female narrator. There were times her inflections didn’t fit the part. Male narration was great!

This book was so good. I listened to it in 24 hours.

Ivory is spicy. Huntley is hot. The Queen is crazy with good reason.

There was a surprise that I got at the same time as Ivory got it.

Incredible Must Read!

Rarely do I take the time to write a review. But in this case it is worth the little bit of effort because this book blew my socks off. For it being the only title offered by this author , it was amazing.

The main characters were both from opposite sides politically and the tension of the enemies to lovers relationship was astounding the action begins right off the bat. The male protagonist kidnaps the female protagonistAlmost immediately very early in the book so you get to watch their relationship develop across the length and breath of the book while I travel from one kingdom to another.

Please please hurry with the next one in the series!
