Publisher's summary

As Calamity’s newest resident, Everly Christian thought life in small-town Montana would be dull and tame - and she needs a little mundane after the last few chaotic years. But one night, boredom drives her to the local bar, where she finds herself sitting beside a handsome and mysterious artist.

The man is anything but dull and tame, especially in the bedroom, and when she steps out of his shower and overhears his conversation, life gets interesting again.

Reese Huxley needs a wife.

And why shouldn’t Everly be the bride?

She’s got her reasons for agreeing to the hasty nuptials - reasons she’s keeping to herself. As long as she can stop herself from falling in love with her husband, she’ll make it out of this sham marriage in one piece. But Everly has a weakness for wayward men, and the more Hux pushes her away, the more she realizes this bluff is anything but a lie.

Love Calamity, love Everly&Hux, Love the narrators

I read and loved the first book in the series and was exited for the Bluff. When I saw Vanessa Edwin was narrating this one, I knew I had to get the audio version. It didn't disappoint. Both narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life.
I love Devney Perry/Willa Nash writing. She has the ability to draw you in and get you to relate to the characters and really feel the emotions. there is no shallow in her stories, they run deep. Add to that an amazing narration and you get a perfect experience. Loved it!

AMAZING!!

The push and pull between Everly and Hux was so powerful. From moment one you could tell that they were meant to be together. They both fought against love and being together but they both knew that they couldn’t live without the other and I’m so glad that they made it work. This book was phenomenal and I’m loving this small town!

The audio was incredible, both voice actors did phenomenal!!

Well written and satisfying story.

While not as exciting as the first book in this series, The Bluff still delivers a decent audiobook experience. The narrators are very good which makes it even better.

Everly's story

I like this series set in Calamity. MT. Everly was Lucy's best friend from the previous book but this can be read without reading the first book but you'd miss out on that book. Everly meets Huxley in a bar one night and they have an attraction to each other that they say is for only one night but they can't stop seeing each other. Everly overhears Hux's phone call that if he were married he would have a better chance to share custody of his daughter. Everly offers and they begin their marriage. But this Bluff may backfire with real feelings happening. I really enjoyed listening to Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow bring the characters to life. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Loved it!

This story had everything I love in a book. I would have loved for Everly to have sang at one of the shows but overall...loved it

Another small town romance that I devoured

Was this story predictable? Yes. But I don’t care because I ATE. IT. UP. First of all, Aiden Snow can read me a grocery list and I would be happy, and him and Vanessa Edwin together are amazing. I am loving this small town romance series and can’t wait to continue!

One of my favorites from Devney Perry

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. As someone who has always been drawn to the marriage of convenience trope, this story really hit the mark for me.

Everly Christian, a newcomer to the town of Calamity, Montana, finds herself hoping for something more exciting in her life. Enter Reese Huxley, a mysterious and intriguing artist who becomes involved with Everly. Things get interesting when Huxley finds himself in need of a wife, and Everly seems like the perfect candidate, as long as they can keep their emotions in check.

The storyline was entertaining, offering just the right blend of spice, intrigue, and romance. The chemistry between Everly and Huxley was electrifying, making their journey all the more fun. Additionally, the characters were expertly developed, adding depth and complexity to the narrative.

Overall, this story is perfect for those who enjoy small-town romance and marriage of convenience. The narration, flawlessly performed by Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow, was nothing short of exceptional. Their voices intertwined seamlessly, resulting in an audiobook that is simply a must-listen.

Amazing chemistry

Each time I read a book by Devney Perry I think this is the one, my favorite! The Bluff is another such book in that long line. Two people meet up in a bar and have instant chemistry. Hux and Everly found that and acted on it, but no strings. Nope. No one gets hurt if we just keep it casual. Until the time comes that Hux needs to have a wife in order to prove his stability and that he’s settled enough to get custody of his troubled child. Those are some strings that they didn’t imagine. A marriage of convenience is beginning to feel like the real thing. Someone’s going to get hurt... No doubt about it, I adored this book. It gave me all the feels. Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow did a phenomenal job with the narration. They captured the characters and their emotions perfectly Highly recommended
