I listened and read this ARC, and it was amazing. Josiah was broody but with a sweet heart , my favorite type of Hero. I loved the mystery aspect of the book it kept me guessing up until the end. I also loved that there was very, very little amount of romantic drama, and issues were handled immediately and not festered on. Rewriting the stars has been my favorite CK book, but this one just may top it. Max was the sweetest durpy dog! I am already so ready for the next Haven book. Hopefully, it is Marigold finally getting her happily ever after. I know I may be in the minority here, but I really liked that there was more plot than s*x. I did kind of get Blue Moon vibes at times because of the crazy town, and that made me smile. The narrators were fabulous! Great book! I really enjoyed it!

Get ready

This is Ms Kingsley’s introduction to the Haden family. If you’ve read the Bailey Brothers saga you’ll recognize Josiah, the burly stoic oldest Haden brother. But this is a stand alone story that you are sure to enjoy. Josiah is dead set against any kind of relationship. His heart has been broken twice, but along comes Audrey his complete opposite. Audrey’s bubbly personality melts Josiah’s hardened heart. But a stalker almost severs the bond between them. Of course love will prevail. This, like everything else I’ve read of Ms Kingsley’s, is well worth the time. Will there be other Haden Brother books? I certainly hope so and I’m also hoping Marigold finds her true love with one of these brothers. (The narrators are great as well.)

I loved this story!!!

I loved everything about this book. It just made me happy and smile hole time reading/listening to it. I can’t wait for more Haven stories, but I could be wrong, but are you trying to hint the other stories in this? I love how Claire likes to play with her readers a little bit. Gets me excited for the next books to come from this great author, you write them I read them lol

Josiah and Audrey

This was my 1st Claire Kingsley book. I bought this because Connor Crais is my favorite narrator.Loved the story and suspense. Narration was wonderful. Loved the epilogues. Will look for other CK books.

Josiah & Audrey

Like many others, I was beyond thrilled when Claire announced that she was going to be writing a series for the Haven brothers. The first book is Josiah’s, he is the broody jaded one. A bad experience with a girlfriend left him wanting to be a forever bachelor. Audrey never wanted to move back to her hometown, but a change in jobs leaves her no choice. Audrey moves in next door to the house Josiah is renovating. From the first moment they meet, Josiah starts to let his guard down for this girl. When the threat of a stalker scares Audrey, Josiah goes in full blown protector mode. I really enjoyed the entire mystery/suspense surrounding the stalker and I was completely surprised by the reveal.

It was extra special seeing some appearances from the Bailey’s. And for them not to be feuding, but going to each other for advice. But if you haven’t read the Bailey brother series don’t worry, you will still be able to understand perfectly. The whole town is full of quirks and crazy residents and it is so funny.

The audio for this was perfect. The third narrator for the stalker was absolutely perfect!

Great start to a new series!

When I heard this author was writing a small town romantic suspense, I was beyond excited. This book definitely surpassed all of my expectations. I loved returning to Tilikum and getting to know the Haven family better. I absolutely loved Josiah and Audrey's relationship and had so much fun watching them get together. Josiah was such a grump and Audrey was pure sunshine. I loved Josiah's relationship with his siblings and am excited for their stories. The suspense was top notch too! The narrators were excellent - everyone performed phenomenally. I highly recommend this one for small town romance fans!

Great new series

Moving back to her hometown feels like a set back in Audrey Young’s life but she is determined to make the best of it, even if she has to take a job at the small-town newspaper and deal with a gruff landlord. But when it becomes clear that someone does not want her in Tilikum and will go to gruesome lengths to scare her off, Audrey begins to doubt her decision.

The Story line

This was a great read. I Loved everything about this book. I could not put it down. I finished in two days.

Great start to the Havens!

Love returning to Tilikum, having the mischievous squirrels, a sweet clueless pup & the entire townspeople leading the entertainment in this one. Josiah & Audrey’s meeting was one of my favorite introductions in a book, too. I had the pleasure of listening to Connor Crais, Ava Erickson & Scott Rose bring all these characters to life.

Haven family great start

I love how the story ties other storylines together. A Haven family is definitely have interest in looking forward to the next book.
