About this listen

A sweeping small-town romance about love, loss, and a Montana legacy from USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry.

I met West Haven when I was eight years old. He taught me to play poker when I was nine, and we made paper airplanes together when I was eleven. He kissed me when I was sixteen. He was the best part about my family’s summer vacations to Montana. He was the boy who stole my heart. I was twenty-three when life ripped us apart.

Years later, I’m breaking my vow and returning to the ranch, not as a guest but its new owner. West might want me gone, but even he has to admit the only way to save his family’s legacy is with my help.

It’s not easy working side by side and facing those old memories. But this situation is only temporary. We’re at a crossroads. And as long as I don’t let myself fall in love with West Haven again, maybe this is our chance to put those ghosts to rest. Maybe this time we’ll finally be able to say goodbye.

Crossroads is the first book in the Haven River Ranch series by Devney Perry. I listened to the audiobook and loved it! The narrators, Samantha Brentmoor and Conor Crais, were the perfect choices!
West Haven and Indya’s story had me in all my feels! Growing up, Indya and her parents spent a week most summers at a ranch in Montana where she met West. The pair always seemed to pick up right where they left off the summer before until life pulled them apart. Years later, Indy is back in Montana as the new owner of West’s family’s ranch and resort. Tensions are high as both West and Indya are faced with memories and old ghosts. I devoured this second chance romance, which normally I’m not drawn to. Perry did a fantastic job weaving flashbacks throughout this story, really built the tension between West and Indy, I couldn’t put this down! I’m sold, hook line and sinker for this new series. I can’t wait for the next book!

-Childhood friends to enemies to lovers
-Second chance
-Cowboy/Rancher

Narrators were awesome!

-Second chance love: I wanted to kick him in the pants for not pursuing her.
-Kinda sorta enemies to lovers: Only because of what happens when they meet again.
-Childhood love: Kind of sweet but also kind of came off as a horny teenage boy wanted to get into the pants of the girl that visits every year.
-Time jumping: Tells the story of the MC from first meeting to present. Not my favorite in books but this one was done well.
-Cinderbrella trope: I didn't misspell that...meaning She's rich, he's poor. Not sure if there's a name for that so I made one up.
-Beautiful setting: The setting for the story is a dream of mine if I were ever to win the lottery.
-Sweet Ending: If you had any issues of anything in the story, the sweet ending makes up for it.

Great book!

I absolutely love Denver Perry. Every book I have read of hers is sooooo good. She does not disappoint. Crossroads was super cute. It’s a cute romance book with so much love from the very beginning between Indya and West. They met when she was 8 and he was 10 and they formed this cute little bond ever since then. If you need a book to just make you forget for a day this is it. It will make you smile and just fall in love. The thing I loved about this book, it was fast pace for me. There was not dragging their feet with each other. It was beautiful story.

Steamy, set in Montana (always a plus) Not totally believable characters but good enough for light fare. Readers were good.

Easy summer read

This book takes you through years of a relationship, and it gives you everything. The ups, downs, and in between. West & Indya had me captivated throughout this entire book!! The way Devney Perry can create entire worlds that you can get lost in is always amazing. Another series, another favorite!

Take me to Haven River Ranch
