About this listen

Indecent Proposal

Manwhore. That's what the board of directors - and the tabloids - think of billionaire bachelor Reese Crane. Ordinarily he couldn't care less, but his playboy past is preventing the board from naming him CEO of Crane Hotels. Nothing - and no one - will keep him from his life's legacy. They want a settled man to lead the company? Then that's exactly what he'll give them.

Merina Van Heusen will do anything to get her parents' funky boutique hotel back - even marry cold-as-ice-but-sexy-as-hell Reese Crane. It's a simple business contract - six months of marriage, absolute secrecy, and the Van Heusen is all hers again.

But when sparks fly between them, their passion quickly moves from the boardroom to the bedroom. And soon Merina is living her worst nightmare: falling in love with her husband....

I really liked this story. great love story. loved the characters. I liked the fact that Merina was such a strong woman and always stood firm..a little tyrant at the beginning as the exception! pretty pleased with the narration.

Cool story

Storyline concerns a hotel magnate being held hostage by his reputation and a contentious board of directors, and a brash but kind hearted hotel manager of an aging family hotel. Each are trying to protect their inheritance when they make a bargain to help each other but of course fall for each other. There is interesting character development and hot chemistry as the pair try to resist each other after both being hurt in previous relationships. The story is nothing novel but the banter and dialogue is entertaining. The narration is very one dimensional and would have benefited with dual narration. A good sale book or candidate for the Escape Package but probably not worth a full credit. Also it is the first of a trilogy involving 3 brothers but the dad is also appealing.

Story of manipulation and love

I enjoyed this story of how a billionaire overcame his fears after he was faked married. She was just want he needed, but didn't know it. The narrator was perfect.

Enjoyed

Would you listen to The Billionaire Bachelor again? Why?

Yes when the missing cut-off Chapter 19 becomes available I am most definitely going to re-read it

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the down-to-earth, funny, lovely Merina and listening to her was bliss. I am glad it is also in Crane's point of you too, or I don't think I would've liked him at all. I still didn't care for him, but he grew on me until the end when I hated his guts...character developed and then dropped and then rebounded.

Which scene was your favorite?

The best scene in this audiobook is at the retirement party Merina was hilarious!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, in fact I practically did. Went shopping engrossed in the book and fell asleep listening to it. I couldn't turn it off!

Any additional comments?

It was pretty good...it kept me entertained. However, there was something missing and Reese's character needed some work. I was really starting to like him until right before the ending where he made me mad, but I liked how it became full circle at the end. I want to continue the series when it becomes available. Mostly because Tag sounds like an awesome character from this story and I think I will like him more than Reese and the sneak peak kept me on my toes. I loved the narrator's voice. Audible please get it soon! The Billionaire Next Door. I also can't wait to meet the third brother...

Love the narrator and female protagonist BUT...

GREAT STORY

So, I like this book a lot, but I had three things that really bothered me:

1.) a billionaire bought a 2 carat ring? Where are the rest of the carats?

2.) a billionaire having a buffet style wedding where he’s making his own plate? Yeah right. And…

3.) Magda’s initial accent said to be “native Chicago” was so bad! Yikes. It sounded Minnesotan, but then it also didn’t last the rest of the book like that so…shrug.

At any rate, if those were my three biggest gripes then you know the book had to be pretty good. Worth a read.

Liked it But a Few Gripes
