Good story. Good narration.

A little bit silly and a little bit sweet with lots of action and a dash of romantic angst. This was an entertaining story with well performed narration.

Enjoyed the story and I was reasonably entertained. I didn't connect with Carter's character in this one as much as I did in 'Fools' - his character didn't have the same kind of charm (which was disappointing).

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoyed Michael Dean's narration, he suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance.

I really like these audio books and the character connections from prior books. Did anyone notice the voices of Dunn and Tucker were the opposite from the previous story?

Hijacked

A laugh-out-loud, twisting story that will have you glued to the pages.

Riggs has messed up at work, yet again, and is put on what he sees as a babysitting job accompanying Cater on his trip to Venezuela. While helping the people of Venezuela, Riggs and Carter are captured and must find a way to get home safely all while trying to remain professional.

Riggs and Carter's story is highly entertaining with a twist of suspense that kept me interested right from the very beginning. The story was different than I expected but could not seem to put it down and found myself laughing out loud multiple times. This was my first book by both of these authors and I will definitely be reading more from both in the future.

Audio... Michael Dean did a good job of bringing all of the characters and the story to life.

4 Maple Leafs... Hijacked is a m/m, bodyguard, medical, romantic comedy that is told in the dual first-person point of view.

Fact paced action with lots of feelzzzzz

Spin-off of the Licking Thicket series. I found the plot satisfyingly action packed, with ups and downs and lots of surprises thrown in. The characters are enjoyable- the dr being aristocratic on the outside but genuine and full of heart on the inside and the bodyguard being kind of standoffish and guarded at first but relaxing a bit as the story goes on. The typical hilarity that is in the Licking Thicket series, built around just awful and awfully funny, puns is not as prevalent in this book. The Horn of Glory game that the new series is built on lends itself to a lot of chuckles though. Although I generally love Michael Dean as a narrator, I was a bit annoyed and disappointed with this book. A majority of the story is in Venezuela and quite a few phrases are in Spanish. Mr Dean has such awful pronunciation that although I speak Spanish, half the time I didn’t understand what the characters where saying in Spanish. I tried to ignore it because the authors do a fantastic job of translating for the reader. However, if I were a narrator and didn’t know how to pronounce any word, in any language, I’d at least do a quick Google search to see how to pronounce the words. The other thing that truly disappointed me was that he portrays Riggs with a southern accent, at times heavy and noticeable but at other times it is non-existent. Usually I can count on him to have very distinguishable character voices but because the accent kept disappearing I got a bit confused when starting mid-way through a chapter.

Sweet and Hilarious

This is a spin off from the Licking Thicket series and was even better than expected.

This was such a wholesome, fun and sweet opposites attract romance.


The world building was descriptive, engaging and compelling.

The chemistry between the characters was hot, sinful and palpable.

I'm super glad that the Authors decided to do a spin off of this series.

As usual Michael Dean performed an amazing audio delivery and narration.

Epic!

I found this to be the funniest yet of all the Licking Thicket books. The video game! The puns! The A snarky Carter Rodgers lol I love this town, can't wait for more.

Love the Licking world

I just love all the characters in the Licking Thicket world- and I’m always so excited to see a new book in their universe. Fun characters with wonderful chemistry and quirky entertaining adventures.
Michael Dean does a good job overall but he still stresses me out immensely during sex scenes- HE READS THEM INTENSELY LIKE HES READING IN ALL CAPS AND ITS A MAJOR BATTLE ACTION SCENE THAT IS GOING DOWN WITH ALL THE ANXIETY AND STRESS OF A BOSS FIGHT lol. But aside from that he does a wonderful job!
