It still affects.

This information is life-changing, we the public have been bamboozled with our obsession with alcohol, the author plainly points out that our decision to drink alcohol is not in our best interest by a long shot, it’s been said a word to the wise is sufficient, I look forward to my journey to be alcohol free. Amazing!
This is a very personal story about the step's the author took to stop drinking. I have drunk heavily in the past and still have the odd binge even if infrequently. This audiobook has made me question the wisdom of having a drink even every month.

I think is a big step.
That's a good thing because it reiterates her point that much of what we feel and think and believe about alcohol consumption is unconscious and almost brainwashed into us. I can recognize that now, which I think is a big step.
