About this listen

Anne Boleyn is the odd girl out. Newly arrived to the court of King Henry VIII, everything about her seems wrong, from her clothes to her manners to her witty but sharp tongue. So when the dashing poet Thomas Wyatt offers to coach her on how to shine at court - and to convince the whole court they're lovers - she accepts. Before long, Anne's popularity has soared, and even the charismatic and irresistible king takes notice. More than popularity, Anne wants a voice - but she also wants love. What began as a game becomes high stakes as Anne finds herself forced to make an impossible choice between her heart's desire and the chance to make history.

Not the best but certainly entertaining!

I have read many books about the tutor court, some good some bad, this one falls in the middle. The voice actor should of been chosen more carefully and at least should of had a better English accent also why did she not at least google how to pronounce Hever castle ( this bugged me every time she said it)!
As for the story, I would of liked all of the story not just part:
SPOILERS!!!
This book only touches on a small part of Anne boylynn's life and does not even get to her being queen or even Henry leaving queen Catharine.
Overall not bad but not the best'

Ugh!! Flat!!

Let me preface this by saying I don't usually read romances and don't have much history with the genre. The Outlander series turned me on (pun intended) to historical fiction/romances. This was so one-dimensional. All the characters were flat. Nothing really "happened" in the whole story. Nothing outside of the main character's thoughts to move the story along. I think this may be a good book for interesting a teen/young adult reader in romance but not worth it to someone with a more "stories" on their "read" shelf.
