About this listen

Around every corner, they are waiting. In every dark alley, they are lurking. Behind every door, they are hiding. For each survivor of the Upheaval, every day brings the same grim reality: The dead are coming. For every community that managed to survive, for every band that came together, questions nag their minds. Are they alone? Are they the last ones left? Does humanity die with them?

As the dead roam the abandoned highways and walk among the ruins of the living, one group will make a stand to halt the tide and take it back.

Another Zombie Apocalypse Tale.

Book two is again, full of battles for survival. The story is well performed and very enjoyable.

good characters

if you liked the walking dead series you will like this. Lots of undead and scary situations. Not just being asking the dead that they have to worry about.

Book 5/5 Narrator 1/5

This is a great continuation of the white flag series. I have recommended this series to several people. The narrator though is very breathy and pauses at odd times breathing heavily making it hard to listen to.

exceptional

I think the second book was better than the first. I am hoping there will be another book in the series one day.

Did I Spend All of Turkey Day/Night Listening to This? YES!

Book 2 is even better than Book 1 (that's rare in Zombie series)! if you're looking for action, loss, hope, despair, redemption and family (creating one from nothing but yourself and you infant/toddler son) then you have found it.

Never waste a good crisis

This was a really good follow up to White Flag of the Dead and took the series in the right direction. I absolutely love the unique and innovative ways that the author has come up with to "deal" with our undead friends. Along the way there are some pop culture references that lighten the mood and make this one a really quick read. As if that is not enough to like the modes of transportation are creative as well. Our main character continues to be a super bad ass while keeping it fair. The author does a great job creating realistic and new places for people to settle and wait out the apocalypse. These characters have been through a lot since the end of the world and I somehow think that the worst is yet to come. Everyone has there own take on the zombie genre but I think classic slow moving, moaning and lack of intelligence zombies in my opinion are best. If that is what you like the read this book because that is exactly what you get in this story with a little of the quicker zombies sprinkled about. The narration was great and kept consistent with the opening book of the series. The narrator does a good job of creating different voices for each character and I must admit does a pretty good female voice. I mean that in a good way. Pacing was great leading up to some of the more exciting scenes. Great job and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for our survivors in the next addition. What could step 4 possibly be? GET ME THE THIRD BOOK PRONTO!!!
