Set on the coast of South Carolina, an unknown infection has caused people to die and come back to life as reanimated corpses, attacking any living person. This is the story of the survival of one man who was the benefactor of a shelter that helped him to live through the onslaught of the infected dead. Beginning with the initial days of the apocalypse, Ed Jackson watches the world die from the safety of his shelter, but there are others who are also trying to stay alive as they seek refuge. He must decide who he will take into his shelter and who he will reject, and those decisions will help him to form the bonds he did not have even before the end of the world. He and his new friends are faced with the dangers of the dead world as they are forced to leave the safest shelter anyone could possibly have in order to do more than simply exist in a zombie infested world.

The whole story is very well written.
This is an amazing series worth the listen. perfect for long days. Extremely addictive book series. I can't say enough.

One of the best postap series I’ve listened so far
It’s good, very good. Story is very balanced and because of that it keeps you engaged! I normally buy a box set and by book 3-4 I don’t care anymore, but this one - it’s book 5 and feels like I just started . There is everything:: action, adventures, new locations, likeable characters that you want as your friends, spin-offs are added on a perfect timing . And the author keeps the track of the Al the above and you never feel lost in the narrative . I loved Slow Burn by Bobby Audaire and this is second series in a long term that I wish just never ended. Could listen and listen about that group and their adventures . Thank you!

Really good.
I was pleasantly surprised that this was included with my membership, I couldn’t stop listening. Overall a really good listen.

very repetitive
The story is good in the first book, and then it gets very repetitive. The same thing happens over and over they leave safety, get in trouble, and miraculously survive.

Fantastic apocolyptic adventure!
