He saves his cat Otis, but shoots his mom. Pretty , all things considered. Of course, his sanity takes a hit as a result.

Real, flawed, and raw, Dark Recollections is Adrian's own story of how he survived after "That Day". Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal", and through short stories that entwine with his tales that bring forth dark visions of a world being eaten alive by an unimaginable evil.

AUD is an eight part epic about a solitary, guilt stricken man that didn't think he deserved to live, but realizes very soon that he survived, and suffered for a reason.

This collection contains Dark Recollections, Alone No More, Midnight, and The Failed Coward, four full-length novels following the end of the world as witnessed by Adrian Ring.

great series

great series, great narration, well written characters well grow and develop nicely. please get him a woman. well worth the money. looking forward to rest of series

Superb!

These books were among the best in the genre. Great balance of action, humour, horror, suspense, drama etc.
The narrator is top-notch - probably the best I've come across, and is a perfect fit for these books.
If you're into the post-apocalyptic genre, I highly recommend this box set.

Different

It was very different. It took a bit of getting used to, but I really liked it and the characters.

If your into zombie books, this is a great series

I've tried many zombie book series. I found a couple good ones and a bunch of bad ones. This is a really good one. It's sounds weird because it's a diary but it really works. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!

Mixed feelings

You need to go in understanding it sounds like it's wrote by a teenager. It's full of space fillers (rehashing previous parts of story numerous times), overly focused on Adrian's junk, and some "oh, come on" moments but it is very engaging and when other parts of the story come into play, I got fully absorbed and I'm pretty sure I'm hooked for the whole series. 😀

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the narrator. Lots of action and really good hui. Highly recommend.

my favorite series of all time.

An incredible piece. Emotional and hilarious. Whatever the opposite of a toe pusher is. Few other apocalyptic stories really capture the entire lifestyle change of an apocalypse, the joy, the pain, even the tedium.

I have to admit I didn’t know how I was gonna feel about the diary layout but I love it! It’s a fresh new take on the genre!
