About this listen

The critically acclaimed Surviving the Fall series, now in one complete edition!

Surviving the Fall is an epic survival/thriller post-apocalyptic series that asks the "what if" question that lurks in the back of everyone's mind.

When a devastating attack cripples and destroys every Internet-connected device in the country, Rick Waters is stranded a thousand miles from his wife, Dianne, and their children. To get back home, he'll have to draw on every survival instinct he has as he's pulled into a web of lies and conspiracy that threaten not just his survival but that of the entire world.

Surviving the Fall is a thrilling post-apocalyptic episodic series that focuses on Rick and Dianne Waters and how they each deal with the apocalypse. Stranded across the country away from his family, Rick must travel from California to Virginia to reunite with his wife and children, all while struggling to comprehend and deal with the horrors along the way.

At home with her three children when she experiences the beginning of the end in a dramatic and deadly fashion, Dianne Waters has experience as a prepper and survivalist, but not even years of training and preparation have readied her for the darkness that comes with the end of the world. Now she must draw upon those skills to protect her loved ones and fight back against those who come against her and her family.

This complete edition of Surviving the Fall features all 12 books in the series, each one full of action, suspense, and drama, as Rick and Dianne struggle to survive the end of days.

Mediocrity at its most mediocre point

I can't describe how basic this story was. It was like it was written by a talented middle schooler. Nothing in this book was overwhelming dramatic, suspenseful, or enthralling. The characters are basic and unchanged, aside from the painfully over dramatic point he makes about the kid having to grow up fast, which is shoved down your throat about 15 times. The writing itself is boring and uncreative. He actually used "like a hot knife through butter" at one point. The narrator didn't help at all. Bland himself and it seemed like everyone fell intk some sort of sothern accent. If you need a book for you 12 year old son to read than maybe this, but half way intelligent people should find something else.

Good story but really had to grit my teeth so many times

No one with any training fires on automatic.
Why didn’t Jason and Mark just wait until the trailer stopped get out and shoot all the men as they got out of the truck. Instead you have them penned in the back of the trailer. When Jason got hit the first time at the gas station, how unlucky. He was laying down in defilade. How ca a computer virus cause earthquakes did it infect god. Just so many things seemed improbable. I have more faith in people. You had just a bunch of bad men banding together. You don’t think the good people wouldn’t ban together. A sport car that can run a 100 miles an hour on solar. That is what you said. No way. The maximum power on a improbable 3 or 4 meter square solar cells with 100% conversion efficiency would be 3 to 4 kw. That’s maximum 5 hp. You’ve been duped by the green new deal. When the Astronauts landed at Virginia Beach why didn’t the go to NAS Ocean. It’s right there just off the beach. Norfolk is miles away. When they ran to the Norfolk gate the Lt says we tracked you. No a Navy base does track satellite reentries. 2nd a Lt at the gate would know if they did! Nevertheless I did listen all the way through. I feel sorry for poor Diane. She’s married to a guy with a voice like Darth Vader with a congested cold.

Armageddon on Easy Mode

Cool plot and storyline but gets tough to stay listening to because of unrealistic human behavior and unbelievably incompetent bad guys.

Good read

I listen to audible books at work. This was so good that I listened at home, too. I enjoyed the different perspectives, including astronauts.

Fun, engaging story

The author said he wanted to create a "fun, engaging story" and he was successful. This is more of going from gun fight to gun fight than a true prepper novel. I think this would appeal especially to young males, especially the end where the hero is credited with saving the world. I am an old female. I listened to the whole thing, but will not be listening to a second time. Premise of destructive computer virus interesting. Hero's resolving not to go more than a few hours walk from home is a good example for me.

29.75 hours a good bargain. Author's commentary at the end of each chapter interesting reveal into his creative process.

A entertaining story. Believable

A narrator is very important in a audible book. He was good and kept the story moving well.
Unfortunately this could happen.
