About this listen

Junior year has come for the remaining students of Melbrook Hall, and it promises to be the most difficult one yet. With one of their own gone and another under serious investigation, none of the former Powereds knows how many days remain for them in the Hero Certification Program.

The time they do have will be filled with more trials and classes, honing their skills as they work toward the increasingly difficult goal of becoming Heroes. Ample new challenges await them, and not all of them can be met on the safety of Lander’s campus. Fallout from last year’s final exam has stirred the interest of many parties, not all of them friendly.

With enemies pressing in from all directions, it’s going to take new alliances, dedication, and countless hours of training if they want to last another year.

I honestly hated this version of the books until this book

tl;dr: this part is really good, so is the whole book; the sound effects and music have grown on me

LIGHT SPOILERS!

I listened to the original audiobooks for this series, probably like 12 times each, so I knew that this part was going to hit the hardest. When I first saw that they were making these dramatized versions I was super excited, especially for this part. However, I didn’t really care for the cast when I listened to year one of it, but by the time i got to book two it got better, and in this one I am starting to really like it. Particularly during the scene with Alex, Vince, and Sasha towards the end. I always really enjoyed the original performance of that scene, but hearing three distinct people talking made it feel more real. I will say, the VA for Alex did a particularly great job. The sound effects have also grown on me. I hated them in Year 1, but I think they really did add to my enjoynent in this part.
