Different but Good!
I have always enjoyed Robert McCammon's short stories. They tend to run a bit south-of-the-norm for the genre, and this one fits right in with the rest. It did take a second a second listen to get 5 stars on the performance, but it was worth it.

It was an unassuming story I clicked at random going through McCammon short stories. I didn’t know what to expect. As you travel with the character you can see where the story might lead but the deep feeling you get to by the end of the short twenty minute ride is pure and awe inspiring. Bravo.

Goes where you don't expect.
For such a short piece, it takes you to a completely unexpected place. Solid n arration.

Different but touching
This was a really good story that left a feeling of comfort behind. I think it would have been more impactful with a different narrator. The narrator's style really detracted from an excellent Halloween tale. The story would have been better served if read without such over the top, hammy exuberance.
