About this listen

In the course of her everyday work, career-driven assistant district attorney Nina Frost prosecutes child molesters and works determinedly to ensure that a legal system with too many loopholes keeps these criminals behind bars. But when her own five-year-old son, Nathaniel, is traumatized by a sexual assault, Nina and her husband, Caleb, a quiet and methodical stone mason, are shattered, ripped apart by an enraging sense of helplessness in the face of a futile justice system that Nina knows all too well.

In a heartbeat, Nina's absolute truths and convictions are turned upside down, and she hurtles toward a plan to exact her own justice for her son - no matter the consequence, whatever the sacrifice.

Perfect Match was worth the credit

I think by listening to the Storyteller first is what made me give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was quite as good as Storyteller but it was a good listen. Jodi Picoult is consistent in her writing and I feel it was worth the credit used to obtain this book.

Truly suspenseful

I almost went to the last chapter to find out what happens to Nina. Im glad I didn't, the meat of the story made the ending even more surprising

Didn't think I would like it. Found out I loved it.

I liked how I cared about what happened about these characters. I wanted things to work out. I was rooting for them. It helped that the voice acting was great. I also loved the different perspectives.

Maddenly Fantastic

I love all of Jodi Picoult's books. This one is at the top of my lfavorites list. I found myself wanting to listen even when I could not find the time. I just had to get to the end. I was not disappointed! I could not have imagined finally hearing the answers to all of my questions. Thanks Jodi.

Oh my, this Author...all the feels!

This was hard to listen to but real for some, unfortunately. It really makes you think and feel deeply. Not my norm, but I like to switch it up and Jodi Picoult is great at telling the story (as uncomfortable as it may be) and making you really think and feel of how you would handle and what you would do in the difficult situation you find the characters to be in. At least this is my second novel of hers and that is my experience thus far. I will be reading/listening to more of her work for sure.
