Entertaining at times, irritating at others

I liked the hook. The MC wasnt bad at first, but did start to get whiney when things got hard. It made sense for his character, but that doesn't mean it wasnt annoying. As expected he got a little better as the story progressed, and then he got over confident and bad things happen. Fairly typical, and that's fine, but the problem I have with this book is that the characters intelligence is inconsistent. Forgetting things, or making dumb choices at convenient plot points, or keeping a cool head in most situations, then letting their temper control them in convenient plot moving places. It's a little shoddy story telling. It's not just the MC either.

I enjoyed it enough that, I'll probably get the next book, but I'm not eagerly anticipating it or anything.

Great story

I really enjoyed this story it was silly exciting and fun. I really hope there's going to be more.

okish but not original

The story started like many do. But the issue I had almost from the start was it was as if someone was narrating a video game. like every part of the game. To much game mechanics to the point of irritation.

Entertaining, but no Battleborne.

It was a notable story, but tended to wander in places. Things that didn’t need as much attention were highlighted and extended while important processes were shortened and skipped. Supporting characters could use a little more depth and growth.

freaking awesome

what's better than getting to go to another world for a game show? having an ai to give you the ability to cheat of course. can't wait until book 2. you should love this book as well

Very entertaining

Great story and characters. the narration was perfect. can't wait for more in the story.

Mc is dumb

Sometimes you see a review that the MC is dumb, and often it’s ok. But wow this MC is dumb. And when he isnt something or someone tries to have sex with him. I had higher expectations

More revisions

This book needs another one or two revisions. It seems to be written by a teenager.

half way through, then trash

half way through and ran into block. writer has no clue what a man would do if forced to wear cursed underwear that removes his ability to have sex. young 18 year Olds would rather burn the world Than meekly move on to next piece of loot. completely broke immersion.

Worth a credit

give it a shot, really enjoyed it, good pacing, and simple world building without slamming stats constantly in our face
