A fun fast paced race to the finish

This story was a fun and fast paced adventure. While a quick listen, it was a fun story putting Anakin back into the drivers seat of a podracer, having Obi-Wan off playing detective. This did what Star Wars does best, filling the galaxy with exciting new places, wild new creatures, and slimy new criminals. What a pleasant surprise.

Great book! 10/10

The book is very good I thought. I love how they are picking up where the Phantom Menace left off, and doing Anakin’s story when he was a apprentice. I hope they come out with more of these books telling his story of apprenticing under Obi Wan.

I also love how they’re showing you that Obi Wan doesn’t have that confidence yet and is still learning. Showing you their relationship is in this book not close yet, and they seem uncertain of each other, but you can see if beginning on the path to becoming close as brothers. I really hope this is the beginning of a series!

They did a good job connecting the book to the movie. I think they did a good job with the mystery in this book. The sound effects were different but I liked it bc it did make it sound more like Star Wars than if it were just him reading the book.

I think people of all ages would enjoy this! I listened to this book while I was at work, and I finished it the same day I started.

I’m hoping for more!

Anakin and Obi WAN’s banter and internal thoughts were the best part!

As someone who has conflicted feelings on Star Wars since Disney took over, I really enjoyed this story more than I was expecting. The Obi Wan and Anakin banter felt spot on to how I’d imagined their relationship would be at this point in their story. You can see how they are starting to get more comfortable around each other. I like how we get glimpses into Anakin’s desire to be the best to save/help as many people as possible. I find it a little funny how Disney Star Wars always likes to foreshadow Vader in subtle ways. There is a line that made me instantly think of A new Hope while listening to this story and hit all the right nostalgia feelings without being heavy handed or out of place in this story. The Yoda voice took me a little out of the story and the Anakin voice took me a minute to get used to but otherwise the narrator and background Star Wars sound effects were great! If you are an Anakin and Obi Wan fan, or a George Lucas Star Wars fan then I would definitely recommend this story! Definitely hope to get more Anakin and Obi Wan stores between episodes 1 and 2, if they will be told as well as this one.

Enjoyable narration.

I enjoyed the skill with which the narrator transitioned to the various voices. Not being that familiar with the Star Wars saga, I found the story easy to follow.

Amazing narration and immersive sounds

This was such an engaging listen! The story line was interesting and well paced and the narrator did an excellent job

star wars fan !!

I think it was a very good story line for anakins "childhood" though, yoda and mace windu could use a better voice . I don't recomened this for kids ages 1- 13 as there is some scary content and some details that go into depth about the character. I wish you the best reading ! may the force be with my star wars friends !

Fun young Anakin adventure!

This was a fun little story about Anakin and pod racing on an undercover Jedi mission. What more could you want?
