About this listen

3 great titles in one place!

Join James, our intrepid adventurer, streamer, and bug hunter, as he jumps headfirst into the first true immersion VRMMORPG game and explores the digital reality that the dev's have kept under lock and key.

No previews? No class or race info before launch? What could possibly go wrong? Especially starting in the empire inspired by ancient Egypt.

Rolling a character reminiscent of an old-school D&D cleric, James takes on the world of Sosaku Online with spear, shield, and holy fire.

Features: VR, cursing, violence, slice of life. No: harem, explicit, telemarketers.

Like a 3-in-1 shower gel.

It the first 3 altogether in one book.

Great series. And the author says that he's going to write more. Love it!
Classic LitRPG. Guy goes into a VR gaming world and the developers aren't letting any info out. And, of course, things don't go right. If they did, what would we have as a story?
Author and narrator do a great job.
I got this omnibus for free with the expectation of an honest review and honestly, I love it.

This Series is Awesome!

I had already listened to 1 & 2 individually and loved them. #3 didn't disappoint and having them all together in one is great! I hope to see more from this author soon!

A great series and amazing value!

J. Arthur Klein did an amazing job writing this series and Daniel Wisniewski did an excellent job narrating it as well. Each story is a well written LitRPG adventure with great characters and a wonderful world develops before your eyes. The value of this boxset is amazing! If you have read and enjoyed anything by J. Arthur Klein I'd suggest picking it up today.

hell of a surprise

this was a hell of a surprise for me. I have never read or listened to anything by this author before. the writing was phenomenal the storytelling on point. I'm very familiar with the narrator for this trilogy and I've never seen him do less than amazing performance. the story centers around a gentleman who is helping to support his mother and sister by playing the hottest games and streaming about it online. in the first book there appear to be no father in the picture but in the second book we find out that the father is serving in the Navy. a new game comes out where a person is fully emerged using this high-tech pod and our main character scores premium access. there's a serious surprise at the end of book 1 that got me super excited for book two. there's a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of book two, but since this is a box set your fortunately do not have to wait for book 3. this is a really good deal and an easy recommend for me to anybody reading this review. I like any story that I'm reading or listening to for fun to have an element of romance. it doesn't have to be the main focus of the story but I do like to see it there and this book has that. lastly I'm just going to say Well done and a round of applause to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the audible listeners.

Too much

Going over and over character sheet and still the MC doesn't use powers/ tools. The story would have been better served actually progressing the story .

Extremely Enjoyable

Well written and humorous. I ended up binge listening to this. Solid world building and progression with good humor mixed in such a way it reminds me of my friends telling stories about their favorite game experiences. Awesome narration as well.

Overall: not bad. Language is very coarse to vulgar at times.

If there had been a warning about f-bombs, I would have passed by this title. The story is a typical one, nothing new other than the consequences that lead up to constant immersion. The wing usage of murder hobo was annoying the first time, and was ignorable the following times it was used. The general writing is decently done, pulling one into the immersive state deep enough that annoyance in character behaviors manifested, which is in part why the language is annoying to deal with. It felt like playing alongside a 13 year old teen in a game of old school call of duty whose twitch reflexes are still being hired and have no problems spawn camping just to get rank. Juvenile behavior aside, the story was enhanced by the narration by one of the best voices and readers on audible and made it worth a full listen.
