About this listen
Caught with pot in her dorm room, Bailey Randolph is exiled to a relative's ancestral home in Virginia to straighten herself out. Banishment to Maple Hill is dismal, until a ghost appears requesting her help. Bailey is frightened but intrigued. Then her girlhood crush, Eric Burke, arrives and suddenly Maple Hill isn't so bad.
To Eric, wounded in Vietnam, his military career shattered, this homecoming feels no less like exile. But when he finds Bailey at Maple Hill, her fairy-like beauty gives him reason to hope - until she tells him about the ghost haunting the house. Then he wonders if her one experiment with pot has made her crazy.
As Bailey and Eric draw closer, he agrees to help her find a long-forgotten Christmas gift the ghost wants. But will the magic of Christmas be enough to make Eric believe - in Bailey and the ghost - before the Christmas bells ring?

Story
Bethan Griffiths has returned home for Christmas to unwrap secrets. It's the 1970s and she is back in the village of Foel in the Welsh hills to raise her daughter. They arrive to the open arms of her family and the community, but not all is what it seems, and Beth isn't home for the reason she pretends, either. Vicious notes start appearing that reveal harsh truths about the village inhabitants, stirring up ancient pasts, old loves, and the dead. Not even local dignitary, the elegant and aloof Lady Melling who hides in her manor house, is safe from the accusations.

Story
As war moves ever closer, the sleepy English village of Crowmarsh Priors settles into a new sort of normal: Evacuees from London are billeted in local homes. The nightly German air raids become grimly mundane. Rationing curtails every comfort. Men leave to fight and die. And five women forge a bond of friendship that will change their lives forever in this engrossing novel of loyalty, loss, and love in the shadow of World War II.With the hardships of war intensifying every day, the women band together to defeat formidable enemies and find remarkable strength within themselves to help one another. It is a war-forged loyalty certain to endure years and distance. When four of the women return for a celebration fifty years later, their mission is not simply to commemorate or remember. They’ve returned to confront a traitor whose actions cost countless lives — and to avenge one of their own at last.

A unique story of the super natural, love & both
Somewhere the Bells Ring
Somewhere in Time, Book 3
By: Beth Trissel Narrated by: Tom Jordan
Somewhere the Bells Ring is a unique story of the super natural, love and supernatural love. Bailey is sent to her ancestors’ home to rehabilitate herself. While Bailey is in this ancient home, Eric, her childhood crush, is returning after being injured in the war and plans to stay at her family’s home. Nervous at the thought of his arrival, she becomes preoccupied with another task she is given. Unfortunately, the task is given to her by and ancestor, whom has suffered and untimely death at war and only appears to her in spirit form. How does Eric react to this news? And what becomes of their friendship? I can’t give any spoilers so you have to read it to find out.
While Somewhere the Bells Ring is a unique and well written story, I found it hard to become intrigued. It was slow at first and the language, while accurate for the era, was hard to keep up with. I rate this with 3 Boundless stars. I liked it.

A ghost story to love
Bailey and Eric both find themselves at Maple Hill. Bailey has been banished there and Eric after being wounded has gone to hide there. Just as most houses, Maple Hill has a history of love and loss. Sometimes the loss can be so great, that spirits remain. This is the case in Maple Hill. Bailey is determined to help find the missing gift so the ghost can move on. Eric thinks her one time use of pot has had lingering effects on her. He has regained his hope in the presence of Bailey, but he is worried that she is not in a right mind.
As this couple becomes closer to finding the missing gift, their relationship blossoms. This story takes the reader back to a more innocent time. A time without the interruptions of technology in which two people can truly get to know each other through interaction and a common goal. The story is a gripping tale, yet there is nothing scary about it. Love is what has made the ghost stay in the house and love is what helped guide Bailey and Eric to each other and the gift. I could not put this book down.
Tom Jordan is an amazing narrator. He was able to bring this story to life. His voice is mesmerizing and helps the reader get lost in the story. Tom Jordan separates the characters perfectly and makes the story easy to follow. His narration of each characters emotions and attitudes were exactly as I imagined they would be. Mr Jordan truly made this book an enjoyable listen.

Great quick read
What about Tom Jordan’s performance did you like?
Tom Jordan did a fantastic job telling this story. He actually has a great voice, and would be great in a 'cowboy' audiobook!
Any additional comments?
This was a really good book, and it was a fast read that had my attention from the beginning. It was fun trying to figure out the ending (and being totally wrong!), I listened to this book in one day and enjoyed it very much!

a ghost of Christmas past...
Bailey has been kicked out of school for a 'pot incident' and is spending the Christmas holidays with a distant relative at an ancestral home in Virginia. While walking the dog, Bailey believes that she's spotted a ghost in one of the closed off rooms at the house. Upon arriving back at the house, Bailey learns that her childhood crush, Eric, is on his way home...he is recovering from an injury during the war in Vietnam. Bailey finally meets the ghost, turns out that he's Eric's grandfather, who asks for her help in locating a gift that his wife had hidden for him for Christmas. There is an underlying chemistry between Bailey and Eric. Eric's stepmother plans a welcome home party but an impending storm prevents invitees from attending...except Eric's hippie cousin. Turns out that was a good thing...the trio locate the gift as well as save Bailey's life. This was a quick, fast paced read with a sweet HEA.

Looking for audiobooks Narrated by Tom Jordan !!!!
What did you love best about Somewhere the Bells Ring?
This was my first book by Beth Trissel, and I must admit, I enjoyed listening to it immensely.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Somewhere the Bells Ring?
The story took me to another time and place as I was transported back in time to two different eras in our Southern history.
Which character – as performed by Tom Jordan – was your favorite?
The narrator, Tom Jordan, did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. His clear, smooth voice was soothing and expressive and his characters, perfect - just the way I'd imagine them speaking. I'm following this narrator for a good listen: http://amzn.to/2fBRiqk
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The rich characters and terrific dialogue kept me engaged, throughout.
Any additional comments?
I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance. It might be geared a little bit toward younger listeners - maybe in their 20s, but I'm in my 50s and found it was well-suited for any age. Somewhere the Bells Ring: Somewhere in Time, Book 3

A touching story of love, sacrifice, and the reuniting of lost souls
Somewhere the Bells Ring is a touching story of love, sacrifice, and the reuniting of lost souls. The author beautifully paints a picture that transports the listener back in time to the late 1960s back with brief visits to the early 1900s. Tom Jordan the narrator did an exemplary job voicing the characters, each with distinct character that brought the book to life. I enjoyed the story and highly recommend it.

Sweet. Will look for books 1 and 2.
It felt a bit like I was coming in after the first act, but some authors are like that by the third book in a series. I really enjoyed this. Will happily read again.
Narrator grew on me once the book hit more dialogue.
I received a free copy if this book, but I’m going to look for books 1 and 2 even at cost.
