love the idea

The idea that Gods are living among us captured my interest, but this book had such an underdeveloped plot, and very little captivating drama. for a book that was written for adults, it developed like a YA novel. the narration was poor.

Witches & Norse Mythology

Good for people who like Norse Mythology and magical realism. I would recommend to anyone who was a fan of the tv show and got left hanging.

I had zero issues with the narrator.

A wonderful read.

I love that the Blue Bloods (and Oliver) made an appearance. I was a bit surprised about the adult content, but it was refreshing.

Everything was fine until the ol' switcheroo

The beginning and middle was fine, and I enjoy stories about small towns, witch families and practical, sympathetic magic but then all the sudden it was as if a rug was pulled out from under me and a different story was told and everything "explained" and wrapped up in a bow all in the last couple of hours. Kind of a let down, and super unbelievable as it made the previous set ups and conflicts in beginning of the story seem quite trivial. I probably won't be reading the next in the series unless it is a freebie.

Great Story

A lot different than the TV series, but still a great story. I like the story the TV series tells a bit better, but I don't regret listening to this.

i enjoyed it

this is an easy listen, its a sweet story involving romance/witchcraft. if you appreciate light smut and like characters that are inspired by mythology you will probably like this.

Loved it!

If you like sexy, magical dramas this one is for you. It is a fun escape from reality into the magical realm with an intellectual underlay provided by mythology and history. If you saw the show first, you will still have a lot to learn from the book. It's basically nothing like the show so if you think the show may have ruined it for you, you're wrong. Give it a go!

Wanted more supernatural elements

The story was interesting and unique - even unpredictable. Although I enjoyed it, I found myself wanting (expecting) more supernatural elements in the story.

Easy listen

I gave the book 3 stars. It is an easy listen and an entertaining story. The narration was ok, her voice is nice to listen to. She does not really do character voices well but it was not distracting from the story. It was not an epic novel but definitely worth the credit.

Loved it

Great story. I was looking for something new to listen to and decided to take a chance with a new author and loved it.
