OK I feel in love with Opus

I wouldn't call this really a prepper story. Yes, Rick does prep here and there but he is not a hardcore prepper. He's smart enough tho to have water, and beans etc. and kind of fell into a bugout location.
That said, I loved this story! All the relationships were enjoyable. I also really enjoyed the characters. They were all developed very nicely.
My favorite of all of course was opus. I believe he stole the show in the book.
This was a short read and Very enjoyable. I would recommend it, for me it had everything from a little bit of properness, great character, and an amazing dog all wrapped up in a great Book.

As always, Kevin P did a great jobs the narrator.

A Good Prepper Adventure

This story was a quick, yet fun adventure with a different spin towards prepping for a possible SHTF situation. It worked well for the world and reality we are currently facing. Worthwhile and entertaining!

Wonderful, heartfelt story!

This is a wonderful, heartfelt story about relationships, both human and canine. Our human hero Rick, who finds his talent in writing and who also, finds the need to become a prepper. Our canine hero Opus, who has a way of making his wants and desires known and watches out for the people he loves. Ricks girlfriend Tina, is a wonderful woman who has overcome her fears with the help of Opus and is just what Rick needed. Great writing and Kevin Pierce makes it that much more enjoyable.

First of all this is one of my favorite narrators! I really enjoyed this book, while it was a prepper book it wasn't extreme. I love that the author took it slow and didn't jump to conclusions. I will definitely be listening to and/or reading more of this author's titles

I love Opus

What a great story. Engaging, informative, and kept me hooked until the end. Being a dog lover, having one of the main characters be a dog made me love the book even more. Boyd, you have a new fan, and Kevin Pierce is a fantastic narrator every single time.

One of the better stories about a dog I have ever read. It’s just one of those tales that make you realize what a special relationship it is to have a great dog

I like it

Overall this is a very good story. Boyd Craven does a great job developing the main character and by the end of the story you really feel like you know him. This book does a wonderful job of taking someone from a regular person to an advanced prepper. There is a tremendous amount of detail about prepping and decision making.

The only shortcoming of the book was the lack of action. There is some but you go for long periods with just prepping. The end of the book comes together well and I would definitely read another story by the author.

About the narrator - Kevin Pierce once again does a fantastic job. He is quickly becoming my favorite voice on audible.

Perfection! A Must Have for Everyone!!!

Boyd Craven knocked it out of the park with this one. This is the perfect story for me. It has everything in the perfect balance. And at the center of it there is a dog that borders on human. If you are a dog person and have had one of those dogs that talks like Opus the story will be that much more meaningful. This is not an over the top prepper story it is just a story of a man and a woman with a dog putting away for hard times. This is a story I plan on listening to multiple times.

The narration is done by Kevin Pierce he once again delivers a perfect performance. There is a reason he is the go to person in this genre. The man delivers top notch quality each and every time.
