it was so good

this story was so good and the Narrators were amazing. I absolutely couldn't stop listening to this book!!

Good but same as other book

This story was captivating and hot but I was a little disappointed that the characters reacted the same way as the characters from the first book in certain situations. Dimitri was sweeter than Alexei so I was surprised when he acted like Alexei. It also surprised me that Zara waited so long to tell Dimitri about the pregnancy after her wise advice to Bianca in book 1 but I still liked the story. And these characters being surprised by pregnancies when they’re having so much unprotected sex is not a surprise, it’s inevitable. I hope the story line is a little different in the next book,

Refreshing

So refreshing that the leading female is not a know-it-all, defiant idiot that makes stupid decisions. The female does not need to prove herself to be so tough and independent and the male is allowed to be a strong protector. Loved the book.

Zara & Dimitri!

Zara is so strong & tough! It was always clear that Dimitri was captivated by her from their first meeting. I’m so glad they ended up together and especially how he protected her from her slimy boss! I knew something was up during her phone call at work when she was speaking with Bianca, I just didn’t expect it to play out the way it did. As always the narration was well done!

a love story

loved how each character stood out in the story you can follow the story very easily.

Super enjoyable!

(TW here tho for sexual assault) Really impressive! This book has all the feels, I mean everything! The complete range of mafia events, the complete range of fake wife events, the complete range of love events, and all the steamy bits too. This book is everything! I just loved it! I’ll admit I listened to it first in the series and I’m going to listen to the other two now! The writing and the narration are excellent as well!

My least favorite book

Zara was so bad in this book, her personality, how she continued to hide everything, her child like voice, it all was so bad. Demitri was good however the lack of information and how the story line went about was just really boring. It took forever to get to the point and there was no real action

Why is this basically the same story as the first book?

This story is too similar to 1st book. No originality. My eyes were rolling half way through. Why make the MFC so stupid? Yes, it’s steamy but like the first book the female narrator sounds flat when reading the steamy scenes which sort of ruins the scenes. James Cassidy is great as usual.

A Sweaty Disappointment

I recently listened to the audiobook, and I have to say, it left me feeling quite underwhelmed. The main character's constant sweating over every little thing became more of a distraction than a relatable quirk. From planning her wedding to keeping secrets and even catching glimpses of her husband in the hot tub, it felt like her anxiety overshadowed any romantic elements the story might have had.

Unfortunately, by the halfway point, I found myself more annoyed than engaged, as she whined her way through every situation. I understood however when she was upset about her boss. The repetition of her nervous sweating became tedious, making it hard to connect with her character.

The narrator's delivery didn't help either; it felt more like a lecture than an immersive storytelling experience. There was so much potential in the plot, but ultimately, it just flopped for me. If you're looking for a romance filled with genuine emotion, you might want to look elsewhere.

Waste of time and a credit

The sample was the best part and the reason I purchased. But it very quickly went downhill from there. It read like inexperienced teenager playing at mafia. Imature characters, miscommunications that could have easily been reconsilded. Big No.
