And THAT'S when she hands me my phone and reveals...

She sent the recording to him.

My heart is in my throat as those three little dots appear…

Gripping story

I feel the pain, the hopeless around me,and I can not give up the hope for a good ending

I really loved this book, it was up and down with twists and turns. Can’t wait for the next book!

Mafia Romance

First of all. I’m annoyed that this miscommunication and just annoying Sam behavior is going to continue into another book.
I read this book solely because I love the narrator of the audiobook and the preview made me laugh. But Nova makes dumb decisions over and over again. She’s constantly forgiving behavior wayyyy too quickly. I understand she was always going to forgive him but it was with zero real apologies or efforts on his part and it happened repeatedly over and over.
It made her seems less strong in my eyes. Especially when she could’ve been so bada$$. Like she survived a whole lot and kept saying she’d never go back then did. Like soooo many times.
At least Sam was honest about how he’s a sh!t person a lot. I was hoping the next book was about Myles and not more on this but I need to know how the story ends so I will read on.

Tropes: mafia, touch her and d!e, far too forgiving FMC, emotionally dumb MMC, don’t touch the dog, alphaholes(but not in the good way)

Great Storyline

This was such a great story. The narration was great. Some times these books give such empty chapter, but this was a listening pleasure.

Hmmmm…!

Well, it takes long while to get started, but once it does it really moves along at a quick pace. I do love the dog walker/trainer storyline - very original to me. There are so many side stories unfolding at the same time it’s almost hard to keep up, but you really just can’t stop listening! Super interesting and multifaceted, I really like how many different angles are brought in, really from everyone’s backgrounds. Looking forward to more in the next book! And the narrators nailed it!

Another cliffhanger!

Z miss Nicole Fox, I love your books, but please make them standalone’s now I’m waiting for your next book of this duet. Great writing suspenseful thrilling and of course lots of love. Nova is so stupidly naïve and Sam is like all the other hardheaded bosses and so insecure about love. The narratore were great.

Loved the story line and the voices that did the reading! Keeping me wanting more and all satisfying at the same time

Cliffhanger

If I had known it was ending in a cliffhanger I would’ve have gotten it. Other than that I did like the story

Could not connect with the heroine

Ridiculous plot lines, it was almost annoying to get through and very predictable, I find myself waiting to see what the heroine is going to do to get herself in trouble and she didn’t disappoint, I’m gonna give reading a break for awhile it’s all blending together and must all seems like the same old plot lines
