This book was so good! No regrets! I can’t wait for the next. It had my attention the whole time!

Perfect

The plot is intense. Spice is hotter than hot. The Characters relationship is a roller coaster that consumes you.

Great story

Loved the story and narration. I adore the female narrator especially. She’s becoming one of my faves tbh.

A small part that wasn’t for me ~ I was getting a little over the self denial of feelings from our MMC. It wasn’t so much that he was fighting his feelings honestly but something else about how he would think about it drove be a little bananas. I just wanted him to cave!!! But that’s just a personal preference and even with that I loved him and our FMC. I think the author did an amazing job with his character though. I think my mood may just have been wanting a quicker love PLUS I hadn’t realized it was a duet so I think maybe if I realized sooner it was a series, it wouldn’t have drove me as wild since I know the pacing will be different for standalones vs series.

But besides that one small piece this was such a fun read. I loved everything about our characters here and even the side cast. We have a little action, we have GREAT spice, the push and pull in their romance, definitely insta-lust but not an insta-love. The romance itself was a slow burn but with lustful encounters if that makes sense.

I can’t wait for the second book! It ends on a cliff hanger! Be warned lol

Spoiler kind of ~~

I loved how the author played the surprise pregnancy trope. The signs were there but not overly obvious in ways I see some authors work it (which is okay). It just played nicely with timing and we gradually started to be like oh hey! I already knew it was a trope so caught on pretty quick but if you don’t know, it’ll be a surprise too maybe? Or at least partially through.

Really impressive! Great writing, you’re totally on the edge of your seat the whole time! Great dialog (although the use of “you’re an asshole” got kind of old…) and totally believable. Nothing cringey here! Can’t wait for more!!

I only bought the audiobook for this series and the entire time I was torn between getting the ebook so I could read it faster and wanting it to stretch longer so I could continue to hear these two amazing vocal artists. 5 stars all the way.

Brooke and Lev

This book was so good! I love Penny Dee's writing. Lev was a piece if work but I kind of understood why to protect Brooke from those who would harm her to get at him. I think he took it a bit far and, of course, Brooke reacted negatively. She was kind of stupid to sacrifice herself to save Wilson, the man who left her on their wedding day. I am looking forward to the next book because the ending of this one was intense and I need to find out what happens t them now. Laura Horowitz and Walker Williams did a great job with the narration. Both were awesome with both main characters.

Definitely worth your credit. Spice, action and great story and narration in this great book.
