Gives new insights and questions popular beliefs
Ich habe schon einige Bücher von Martin Meadows gelesen und mag an ihm, dass er immer ein wenig ausserhalb der gängigen Meinung ("out of the box") denkt und einem damit herausfordert eigene Glaubenssätze zu hinterfragen. Dieses Hörbuch habe ich gratis erhalten in Gegenleistung für eine ehrliche Rezension. Ich werde mich bemühen, diese so unbeinflusst wie möglich zu halten.
Wie es der Titel sagt, geht es darum, wie man Selbstdisziplin als Unternehmer oder angehender Unternehmer aufbauen und halten kann. Ich habe keinen Anspruch ein Unternehmer zu werden, verstehe mich aber als "Intrapreneur". Die Tipps von Martin Meadows können aber auch in diesem Falle sehr gut angewendet werden. Im Gegensatz zu meinen Erwartungen werden nicht nur Tipps gegeben wie man Selbstdisziplin umsetzt und halten kann, sondern er beginnt weit davor: was ist die Motivation für eine Handlung, in diesem Falle, um ein Unternehmer zu werden? Bin ich von äußeren oder inneren Faktoren motiviert? Weiter beschreibt er Wege, wie man seinen Lebensstil so anpassen kann, sodass die Selbstdisziplin ein Ergebnis seiner Lebensweise ist und nicht nur von schierem Willen. Weiter beschreibt er Möglichkeiten, wie man erfolgreich wird und bleibt ohne das sein ganzes Leben aus den Fugen gerät und alles andere dem Unternehmertum zu opfern.
Wie bereits erwähnt fordert Martin Meadows gängige Klischees über erfolgreiche Unternehmer heraus und regt dazu an neue Wege auszuprobieren und zu gehen. Zum Beispiel schlägt er anstelle von 100 Stunden-Wochen vor, sich Raum zu schaffen für konzentrierte, nicht unterbrochene Arbeit.
Für mich persönlich war dieses Hörbuch ein Highlight. Die Stimme von Manfred Ludwig ist sehr angenehm zu hören und die vielen Vorschläge von Martin Meadows machen Lust auf Umsetzung.

I've already read some books by Martin Meadows and like that he always thinks a little outside the box and challenges you to question your own beliefs. I received this audio book for free in return for an honest review. I will try to keep it as unaffected as possible.
As the title says, it's about how to build and maintain self-discipline as an entrepreneur or prospective entrepreneur. I have no claim to become an entrepreneur, but I see myself as an "intrapreneur". Martin Meadows' tips can also be applied very well in this case. Contrary to my expectations, not only are tips given on how to implement and maintain self-discipline, but he begins well before that: what is the motivation for action, in this case to become an entrepreneur? Am I motivated by external or internal factors? He also describes ways in which one can adapt one's lifestyle so that self-discipline is a result of one's lifestyle and not just of pure sheer will. He also describes how to be successful and how to stay successful without losing one's whole life and sacrificing everything else to entrepreneurship.
As already mentioned, Martin Meadows challenges common clichés about successful entrepreneurs and encourages people to try and break new ground. For example, instead of 100-hour weeks, he suggests making room for concentrated, uninterrupted work.
For me personally, this audio book was a highlight. Manfred Ludwig's voice is very pleasant to hear and Martin Meadows' many suggestions whet the appetite for implementation.
