Irrational heroine.

I hate writing negative reviews. Writing isn’t easy and it’s hard to have the courage to put your work out there. That aside, I did not enjoy this book. Maybe because this was more YA than I had hoped. But YA doesn’t mean almost no world building, one dimensional characters, a main character who makes you shake your head as you listen to their internal dialog and cringe at their poorly thought out plans. Ultimately, this just isn’t my kind of literary thing. But others might still enjoy it of course.

It didn't flow well and was kind of annoying

I love another series by this author but this one wasn't great. The idea had merit but it was poorly executed. The story moved too quickly and the author didn't give us time to fall in love with the characters before they fell in love. It started out with one crazy event after another and the flow wasn't great. The only part I liked was the dragon chasing the car.

Since the author liked using annoying art and painting analogies every few minutes, I'll do the same. It was like she tried to paint a beautiful oil painting but threw mud and paint at the canvas and walked away. I'm an artist and I NEVER have once talked about art the wat she was doing. Plus, the main character went to school for medical studies, even if she liked art, she wouldn't have talked about it SO much.

The authors descriptions of the world around the characters didn't flow well either. The story is like someone writing for the first time.

I saw some of these issues in her other series I liked but they were easier to ignore in that series. I probably won't get another book of hers.

I loved the original voice of the narrator and some of her characters, but the voice she chose for the main character was not great. It was whiny and obnoxious.

Great story

Very entertaining and thrilling. Can’t wait to read the others and see where the storyline goes with the other characters as well. The narrator is very good. Does a great job with a different voices on to the next book.

I loved this book and it's characters I liked the twists and turns I enjoyed the person who brought the characters to life. definitely recommend

I really enjoyed the whole story. The narrator did a great job. I honestly do not have any complaints. I am happily skipping on to book 2.... yay!

Narrator was good

The writing is very basic. Not very great descriptions and emotions are passed over very quickly. The story felt rushed. It’s a good story. Just not a higher star rating in my personal opinion.

Couldn’t really get into it

I just couldn’t really get into this book. The writing wasn’t bad, I love books that are enemies to lovers, and fated mates kind of stuff. Sadly this one just didn’t land right for me.
