My first listen and read from this author
I liked the story but I couldn’t help but feel the main characters’ connection wasn’t true. It was like their connection was right out of my grasp. I couldn’t put my finger on it but I felt like something was missing.

Hard to finish
I really really wanted to like this book, a main male character similar to Hades and a main female character similar to Persephone, what’s not to like?… Well, in this book it was absolutely painful to listen to. Kal berates Elaina and treats her as a child through much of the story, and I’m sorry but the cutting and drinking of blood in the spicy moments was a big no and may turn your stomach as it did mine. There wasn’t much of a plot and the story could have been so much better. The ending was basically just thrown at us and really made no sense. Honestly save your credits and money. This one is not great by any means. The only parallels to Hades and Persephone was the frequent pomegranates mentioned.
