About this listen

When innocent people are threatened, Preacher punishes the guilty, dispensing his own brand of justice—one bullet at a time . . .

Johnstone Country. Where evil dwells . . . and justice awaits.

In a North American British province, a group of Norweigan settlers have carved a life for themselves in a lakeshore village called Skarkavik. Hunters and fishermen, they raise their families in peace under the natural cover of the surrounding forest.

Decker Galloway believes the land's natural resources are being wasted on the few when so many have a greater need. Having made his fortune logging the wilderness of the eastern provinces, he wants to turn his axes and saws loose on the untouched western region. And no villagers are going to stand in his way.

But then there's Preacher. He doesn't mind standing in Galloway's way.

Together, Preacher and his friend, the warrior Tall Dog, will remind the Norwegians of their Viking ancestry and declare war on Galloway's gang of murderous gunslingers—with Preacher leading the charge.

Very entertaining story

I enjoyed the story. It was a usual western. It was a great idea bringing in a different culture in to the mix.

It was great to have another story with Peacher !!!

I really wish that they hadn't changed narrarators,, it just wasn't the same, but it was a great story, and as usual plenty of adventure and action. Thank you

Another foray into mountain men versus foreign military.

As someone who likes history, I'm not too interested in stories that match other cultures against American frontiersmen. Preacher is a great character, but a half Indian Norseman is just odd. The story is well told, but too implausible.

preacher and cast defend nature and Norwegians against lumber barons...

yet another villian taking advantage forcefully of peaceful people trying just to live their lives in the wilderness. Preacher comes from far and wide to the rescue. great character development and plenty of action

Preacher and his friends

Liked the incorporation of the Vikings and their culture. Great battle stories and the country they traveled through.

What the heck happened?

Who ever chose to change narrators from J Rodney Turner to this guy needs FIRED! Absolute worst narrator choice, he sounds like a 12 year old girl. It totally ruined the book for me, couldnt even get through 5 chapters. The story was decent otherwise.

Same old story

I like the author. Not real excited about this new story. With as many story lines that Preacher could have, it seemed like this was a lazy attempt at creating a meaningful narrative.

not bad

Although the storyline was good I didn't care for the performance and often found myself drifting off
