Beautiful Book

Sarah beautifully wrote this book with such care and compassion for parents and kids alike. Her truly nonjudgmental outlook helps release the pressure many of us put on ourselves and our children. I cannot say enough good things about this book and Sarah R. Moore Dandelion Seeds Positive Parenting on Facebook. Sarah has created such a peaceful community that I am so grateful to have found and now belong to online. Not everyone has positive support and she is such a gem to so many.

This book has helped me so much as a new parent of two littles. Sarah provides so many real examples of how to deal with challenging moments, and helps us understand our children so much better! Thank you sarah!!!

Great audiobook, superb narrator, meaningful stuff

Peaceful Discipline by Sarah Moore is a great book on parenting. The material is rich in content which is presented in a very engaging manner. The print or kindle versions are excellent, and I added the audiobook because I wanted to review the stories and examples while I am in the car or working out at home (those are my listening times). I am very pleased that I got the audio version! There is bonus material in the audiobook that is not in the other versions, and Sarah Moore is an outstanding narrator. She has a very expressive voice, nice pace, and lots of energy (without becoming too spunky, if you know what I mean). The stories she tells come to life with her own reading and I found the audio version even more relatable, as it feels like Sarah Moore is just sitting with you as your dear friend. Highly entertaining and educational.
I strongly recommend Peaceful Discipline in any of the forms (kindle, paperback, or audio). My only regret is that I did not have access to this great parenting advice when my own children were young, but I am fortunate to have it now and am applying it to my grandkids.
I also find that the principles Sarah Moore describes apply to not only parenting, but have lots of application to day-to-day situations, and professional interactions between adults, and to friendships, and to marriages. Her ideas about respectful listening, playful interactions, and incorporating a conversational style which is serious yet not rigid and stodgy has helped me to be a better person. I am so thankful I stumbled upon this book. It is a great guide for so many human-to-human interactions. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Brilliant, Lighthearted, and Helpful

I love Sarah’s creativity and found myself laughing throughout. This parenting approach focuses on supporting the needs of both the parent and child. I appreciated that there were suggestions for any age and for neurodiverse and highly sensitive kids too! I found it very applicable for my kids ages 7-9 and have already started to use story teaching with them since reading this book. I especially enjoyed how the author offers info and ideas without pretending to have this all figured out herself. I have no complaints and would recommend this book to anyone who supports kids.

There are many great ideas in this book that have already been helpful for my family . I like this authors voice too.

So much valuable information!

Sarah provides so much wonderful and valuable information in this book and gives real life examples that really helped me apply some of these strategies to my own parenting. Very easy to listen to and my favorite was the sample stories she provides for various situations.

Easily in my top 5 parenting books!

I have read/listened to dozens of parenting books over the past decade and this one ranks top 5! I loved how all advice was backed by explanations and studies. Storytelling lessons is something I wanted to work on and now I have such great guidance and examples.
Thank you for pouring yourself into this book, Sarah! I will forever sing your praises and recommend this book to all of my friends and Doula Clients.

Basic Parenting Skills

So basic. Do not recommend especially if you have a child with a significant trauma history and extreme behaviors. Also would not likely apply to a child with a mood disorder and possibly even a child with developmental delays.
The reader’s voice sounds a little condescending. Hard to get through. The examples and stories given would work with a child from a typical home, no trauma background and no extreme behaviors.
