I saved $3,000 to buy a night with my best friend.
And a lot of good it did me. Someone outbid the crap out of me, and he’s off with her, probably falling in love because I dumped his butt into the friend zone one too many times.
Well, I’m not one to sulk over past mistakes. I’m all about correcting those babies, and I’ll do anything—including chucking basketballs at an innocent girl’s face—to get Alec back in my arms.
That’s what Valentine’s Day is all about, right?

Pros:
- The female narrator was outstanding
- I enjoyed the dual point of view so we could understand both sides of the story
Cons:
-It took me a while to get into the male narrator's part of the story, and I think this was mostly due to him not using the same nuances and inflections while reading that I would, so it through me off a bit. (I also followed along on the Kindle version.)
- One of the main (ish) character's names was pronounced three different ways. The male narrator pronounced it two different ways, sometimes on the same page, and the female narrator had a third way of saying it.
Overall, the story was great and I definitely recommend it. If the minor complaints I had won't bother you, then I guarantee you'll love reading and listening to this novel as well.
Loved the story.
