About this listen

Carter Beckett is the NHL’s resident bad boy, top player both on the ice and in the bedroom, and quite possibly the sexiest man to ever grace my field of vision. But worst of all? He knows it.

He’s arrogant, self-centered, and the man doesn’t seem to know what a filter is, let alone how to use one. He’s had everything served to him on a silver platter, including endless strings of women, and apparently, I’m up next.

His only problem? I have no intention of falling for his shi—um, charm.

I have the solution to all my sexual frustrations in a drawer at home, and it’s far less complicated than Carter Beckett. Sure, he may be pretty, but he’s also a walking, talking reminder for you to wrap it before you tap it.

But then I start letting my guard down, and he starts showing me pieces of himself I had no intention of seeing. The bricks surrounding me may be tumbling down one by one, but I’m not sold yet, which means for the first time in his life, Carter’s the one begging.

For my time, my trust, for a single chance. For me to just…consider him.

Consider Me is the first book in the Playing for Keeps series, but it can be listened to as a standalone. It is a mature hockey romance that contain lots of heat, swoon, laughs, and a ride on an emotional roller coaster!

Ran on a bit too long, very cheesy, obvious communication issues that could have been easily solved but overall enjoyed the book and starting on the next one.

This story was AMAZING y’all! I love Alex Kydd as a male narrator always so him narrating was just icing on the yummy cake! Kasha Kensington is fairly new to me as far as female narrators, but I just loved her as well! They had perfect chemistry and meshed each others parts together so well! Aside from the great performances, the writing in this story was top notch! Loved the mix of steamy, serious, and laugh out loud funny! She gave all the characters individual likable personalities that all flowed so well together! Also, unlike so many romance novels I read or listen to, there wasn’t too much female introspection and over analyzing… that can get so tedious and in my opinion is often a downside to romances. She did a great job balancing the male perspective—which again in my opinion often gets buried under the females in so many story lines. I actually prefer when the male perspective is the more dominant in a romance novel. The author did a great job with our “guy”—giving him layers and not just writing him as the “typical” wealthy jock romance book personality type. I will be looking for the next book from this author for sure! ❤️

LOVED! A must listen!

This was a beautifully told love story that was complete. I loved the fact that Becca Mack started at the very beginning and told the complete tale through to the finale. Most stories just give you an epilogue that checks in one year later which leaves so much out. Ms. Mack did a wonderful job creating an interesting plot with a lot of emotion. Her characters were well developed and relatable. The hero of the story is a man worth taking a chance on, and when the heroine finally sees all that he is an epic love story unfolds. Carter is a wonderful book boyfriend! Take a chance and fall in love with him as much as I did—he is worth the credit!

Wow!!! 100 STARS!!!

Consider Me is such a humorous and deal good hockey romance. It’s definitely made it into one of my top five of the trope and genre.

Olivia was such a good female lead. She was both lovable and realistic. She had very good concerns for wanting to keep her distance from Carter, but was also able to put forth some effort to take the chance on him.

And Carter, our dear precious Carter Beckett, he was just such a refreshing male lead. In all his obnoxious, outrageous, and ridiculously hilarious glory was so freaking lovable! Awhile he is a notorious player; both on and off the ice, he was just a complete goofball that would do anything for those he cares for and seeing him try to win over Olivia and her trust and affection was endearing.

Both of the narrators did a phenomenal job. While the reading was a bit slow in my opinion, it was never enough to break my attention.

Golden Retriever Energy!!
