About this listen

British. Charming. Virgin.

Reed Windsor doesn't do relationships. Though he could charm the pants off any girl he wants, he's not interested. He's always been too captivated by a special someone from his past to get serious with anyone else. Sure, she has no clue he exists, but he's willing to bide his time and convince her he's worth a shot.

Sassy. Beautiful. Way out of his league.

Charlie Oded is full of baggage - being left at the altar will do that to a woman. Having zero time for distractions, she's not looking for...well, anything. She needs time to heal her heart, not another guy to string her along. Which is why when she meets the alluring Reed, she's determined to keep things friendly.

But he makes her heart race and she makes him want to settle down. And neither of them wants to walk away.

Reed's never wanted a relationship, but Charlie's changed the game, and he's willing to play if she is.

Tell me something real...

Reed had always admired her from afar, but he knew he’d never have a chance.

Charlie had her heart broken. Now she would make it on her own, without taking the chance of getting hurt again.

When their paths cross, well, some things are just meant to be...

Cassie Graham has written a heart warming story. When you add two marvelous narrators, Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell, you get a real treat. I highly recommend this book!

The Girl Behind the Red Door

A great way to start off the new year. This book is fantastic! Watching these two just melts your heart when they are together.
The narration in this book is top notch. As always Sarah does an amazing job and although this is the first I have listened to with Steve he did a job just as well. That accent!!! Great book!

Great Read

The Girl Behind the Red Door was a great read by Cassie Graham. Reed finds himself too captivated by someone from his past to let anyone else into his life. Charlie has a lot of baggage that tends to follow her around. She meets Reed but only wants to keep things as friends. I absolutely loved reading Reed and Charlie's story.

Great Narration, Story Didn't Resonate

First off, I should say that these two narrators did a fabulous job in their performances. They are among my favorite and it was fun getting to listen to a story they collaborated to bring to life, together.

I think the story was pretty well written as far as style and there weren't any real plot holes. It gets 3 stars from me because I just didn't connect with the characters as well as I would have liked. I think other listeners and readers could easily enjoy this story, it just either wasn't for me or perhaps I needed to listen at a different time.

Feel great, heartwarming romance.

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is one of those books that gives you all of the warm fuzzy feelings. The plot and character development will instantly grab your attention and hold it throughout the story. This is a love story that is emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking, uplifting, and funny. There will be several laugh out loud moments. You immediately cheer Charlie and Reed on. Both of these characters are strong and driven. Neither are looking for love but fate brings them together. Charlie was deeply torn apart when she was left at the altar, while Reed has always yearned to be with the girl from his childhood vacations that lived across the street. They have a great support system of family and friends.

Steve Campbell and Sarah Puckett are a powerful team of narrators. They give these characters distinctive voices and bring out the personalities and emotions of these characters. This brings them to life and makes you feel part of this story. I HIGHLY recommend this Audible book. It will allow you to relax and forget about the world's problems.

The Girl Behind His Forever

The Girl Behind the Red Door is sweet and adorably fun. With a cast that makes you feel at home and easily accepted, it's hard not to fall. Whether your interests lie in being friends or falling for a certain Brit, you will be pleased. Dibs on the hot Brit man candy! 😘

Reed is adorable, sexy, and fun. W is swoony and ...just fanning myself. Charlie...Charlie, Charlie. Charlie. She is a bag of mixed emotions. One you will happy to learn she fi ally figures out!

The Girl Behind the Red Door is even better than I imagined. There is a whole lot of happy going on in these pages. The best part though is the warm fuzzy feeling it leaves you with!

Sweet and heart warming

I really found this book sweet. It reminded me of innocence puppy love.

My only complaint was the “conflict” at the end. I felt it was so ridiculous the main character would blow it up into such a big deal. In fact, it shouldn’t have even been a fight.

That said, I would still recommend this book.

Romantic story

This is a refreshing story in the fact that it wasn’t overly sexual. It is a good romance and I would recommend it to others. Narration was good.

A sweet story!

I'm not sure if it was just me or the writing, but it took me a little while to really get hooked with this book. However, I am so glad I kept listening, because I really ended up liking it. The story was sweet with lots of feels. The characters were interesting and likable, and there was just enough drama to keep me interested without being overly angsty.

I really liked Reed and Charlie. They were both fun characters with friends that added humor and gave them the nudges they needed. They both had past experiences that shaped their relationship, but the connection they shared couldn't be denied. I liked that neither of them were over the top, but rather they both seemed real. Reed was a total sweetheart! I loved that he knew a good thing when he saw it. And while Charlie had been through a lot, I loved that she still managed to put herself out there with a bit of encouragement.

The narration was also really well done. Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell are both fairly new narrators for me, but they both did a great job and fit these characters well. If you are looking for a good accent, you will enjoy Mr. Campbell. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen, and I will check out both the author and narrators again in the future.

Not your typical girl next door story

Theater major, Reed Windsor, is in his senior year if college and he’s an anomaly...he’s a 22yr old virgin. Even though he’s popular on campus, it’s not due to being a player, instead it’s for his charitable work in the community. Oh, and he has a hot British accent.
Charlie O’Ded has dealt with a lot in the last 2 yrs, she was left at the altar and started her own jewelry business. Now the 27yr old has decided to complete her business degree. She meets Reed on campus and sparks fly...except Reed has a secret...he spent his childhood summers in the house across from Charlie. He has always had a crush on ‘the girl behind the red door’ and now is his chance to get to know her. Will Charlie get past the 4 yr age difference and give Reed a chance?
Loved the slow burn of the relationship between Charlie and Reed. Lots of funny moments and crazy, loyal friends. Oh, and Reed is swoon worthy...just.yum!
Narration team did a great job with bringing each character to life...I can easily envision them. Definitely a book that’s worth the read/listen.
