About this listen

Zorian Kazinski has all the time in the world to get stronger, and he plans on taking full advantage of it.

A teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, Zorian is attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. A driven and quiet young man, he is consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, resenting the Kazinskis for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, Zorian has no time for pointless distractions, much less other people's problems.

As it happens, though, time is something he is about to get plenty of.

On the eve of Cyoria's annual summer festival, Zorian is murdered, then abruptly brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take the train to school. Finding himself trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, he will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery set before him. He does have to unravel it, too, because the loop clearly wasn’t made for his sake, and in a world of magic even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill.

Fortunately for Zorian, repetition is the mother of learning….

Fantastic Start

This book is my favorite time loop storyline. I'm glad they had Jack Voraces continue his work on this as well. Great start to a fantastic series. I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book!

Genre defining work

An absolutely amazing story that has already inspired dozens of other authors. A must-listen book.

Why are the female voices so bad?

They really do sound like 45-year old chain smokers, every female voice. Every other male narrator I've ever heard does them in a certain lighter way but easily within their comfortable range. This narrator does the female voices all-the-way outside his high range so his voice distorts and you get the chain smoker effect.

Male voices are amazing, though.

A story that literally grows on you with each iter

I've loved this story since it's early chapters that were released on fiction press. The weekly releases has gotten me through some of the toughest parts of my adult life. This audiobook has brought it to life in the best way possible. I'm really looking forward to the next 2 parts.

Amazing story

I read this last just as it was coming to an end as a web serial. I loved it then, and I love it again now as an audiobook. The only gripes I might have are some of the female voices. Several are very good, but at least half are overly obnoxious or pompous where I don't think it's necessary. Just just my opinion of course. The rest of it is very good and I look forward to the next one.

Took a few chapters to get into it, but loved it!

This wasn't very engaging to me until the time looping started up, but then it got fun. enough so that I'm going to preorder the next one.

So if you've seen this on people's favorites list, but wonder what the fuss is all about when you finally give in and start it up, give it a few chapters before you give up on it.

The main guy may not have a charismatic personality, but I ended up appreciating the way things played out.

Narrator Jack Voraces isn’t bad

I read the previous reviews and agree that Jack Voraces should use a less annoying voice for children, but otherwise his narration is enjoyable.

I am way glad this became a full audio release! I love this book and way glad they got jack to do the audio. he did a narration as a podcast so I am glad they are rewarding early adopters.

So amazing

Amazing story, intressting charaters and a nice charater development.
The narrator was a bit annoying in the begining mostly because of the sisters dialoug but i got over it pretty quickly, and it made the charater feel more real
