Armed with a few gifts granted to him by the one who judged him, gifts better suited to a fantasy about living in a video game, Rene has to maneuver his way back to his new life while using all the things he’d learned in his old one.

Except using those skills is a double-edged sword. If he’s not careful, he’ll end up right back where he started.

Bloopers should be required

Hilarious ending, but having listened to the bloopers chapter I'll now be disappointed in books without one!

excellent just phenomenal.

this is one of his best books to date. it has great action, character, and world building. the harem members are also excellently done.

Super great story

I freaking loves this book, my favorite book by Arand so far. Andrea did such an amazing job narrating. The Monster was my favorite character and the 'baby shark' scene had me literally laughing out loud, was so funny!

loved this. it is a bit of a darker book. but at the same time the "monster" made me actually laugh out loud more often then than I would have expected when starting the book.

Frankly the best by the author

I do not give 5 stars regularly, however I immensely enjoyed this book.

The story is compelling, the narrator is top notch, the characters are interesting and although this is the first novel, I hope to read and listen many more.

every little thing he touches is magic

Seriously. William/Randi is like a Police song. Even though my life before (his books) was tragic, now I know my live for (his books) goes on.

Why can’t other books have this good of a story and reader?

The story is great. Very on brand for William D. Arrand. The performance was superb and I love the inclusion of bloopers into the end of the book.

that was easily the best book I've read! and the ending was better than any book movie or show I have have seen and can't wait for the next books audio. it's been an hour since I finished the book and I can't stop laughing.
