I love Feather

I read these books last year and absolutely fell in love with Feather and Mikhail (and Rumple… can’t forget Rumple!). When I saw them on Audible I knew I couldn’t resist. The narrators took a bit to get used to but the female narrator kind of nails what you think Feather would sound like although I kind of wish there was more distinction between her and the other female characters voices. The male narrator has a weird cadence to his voice that sometimes made me think of William Shatner imitating Worf from STNG but it honestly wasn’t too bad (as in I immediately got the second book that he also narrated to listen to after completing this one.) All in all it is easily one of my favorites and will be listened to repeatedly.

Male voice AI?

The story is inventive and immersive. I want to love the series. The female narrator nails the role and the side characters. The male narrator is so awful that he wrecks the experience and I strongly suspect that it’s an AI substitution because how could a real person style themself as a voice actor.

A unique and wonderful story!

This story is SO interesting. I was completely hooked from the beginning. The characters are interesting, the mystery is captivating and keeps you intrigued. I highly recommend this book!

The female narrator did a fantastic job!

The male narrator is NOT an AI voice. I have about 200 audiobooks I’ve listened to, so I feel confident in my opinion. It isn’t weird that he has no picture on the website. Many narrators choose to remain anonymous. I will admit, he doesn’t sound like any other male narrator I’ve listened to and is rather melodramatic, almost ridiculously (and therefore humorously) so in his voicing and at first I didn’t like his narration - but then as I listened to it longer I got used to it and now enjoy his over the top performance of these often too serious and frequently self important male Sanctuary beings.

Book hangover enducing

I always know a really good book when I have a “hangover” after finishing it. This was better than I had hoped. The characters were rich and grew over the story. Looking forward to the next installment!

Interesting

I loved the humor and the different twists in the story. It was interesting how the author chose to tell the story. Different and unique. Very refreshing.

Re-reading this masterful series

This will be my third time reading this series, but first time reading on audible. This is one of my go to laugh out loud, heartwarming, moving, overall amazing series. If you haven’t read it yet, and love why-choose/fated mates/angel romances with a twist, you’ll love this!

Amazing find

It has been a while since I truly enjoyed a book. I loved that it stirred all emotions and wasn’t predictable. It was funny, sad, romantic, and suspenseful. Feather is hilarious and I would definitely be her ride or die birch lol. This is my first book by Merri Bright and it definitely won’t be my last.

Love the story! She is a funny and sweet heroine! Liked the narration, although the male narration seems a bit robotic, still didn’t take much away from the story! He was still good.

Best book I’ve read in awhile

Seriously unique world building and memorable steamy scenes. I laughed out loud many many times.

Totally original awesome storytelling

I absolutely loved this book. I have been in a boredom slump. Nothing was feeling fresh or captivating my imagination. This did! I am so excited to start the second book in a matter of minutes!
